Rudra M3 BRAHMOS
ALBM ALCM
Cheap Costly
Light weight Heavy weight
To be used against a enemy buildup To be used against strategic HVT.
what type of disadvantages does brahmos type airframe ( continuous detonation engine ) have over YJ 12 and STAR ( Supersonic target ) have in terms of AESA seeker range ( since the ramjet is in front for brahmos whereas for yj 12 it has multiple intake like meteor missile and AESA seeker in front and engine in back?? )

one chinese member said that brahmos has disadvantages in terms of scanning capacity and maneuvers when compared to yj 12

Read this.

IA has to operate ATAGS in the desert of Thar to Snow of Himalayas to the wet and humid region of himalayan foothills.
A hydraulic drive is always better then a electrical one in such diverse climatic condition.
Don't both require some sort of powered engine ? I am not familiar with the details of ATAGS but sounds like limited induction and improvement should still be on.....especially if its majorly atmanirbhar product

Apart from weight and range, none if compared to YJ 12.

Ask the Chinese nincompoops just a couple of questions.
1) Where they have placed the seeker in their missiles?
2) What is the difference between the shockwave generated by BRAHMOS with that of YJ-12.

Yes.

But the advantage of hydraulic drive over all electrical drive is that in case of battery failure, which is most likely to happen in higher altitude, you could still operate hydraulic drive.

Hmm, when drones are able to do it then in theory these should work too especially as the tech improves? I can see why IA may be bit edgy but they should induct in limited capacity and role with recommendations in next version, this is how you push improvements as no ones gets all the performance and perfection in 1st version.

DRDO hai bhai, ye log kitni baar naye weapons systems test under the garb of antique liquid fuel Prithvi missile tests.
Arey koi secret ho to chupane ki bat hona...last year brahmos ceo said they will test a faster and longer ranged brahmos in the 2nd half of this year in an interview with either livefist or tarmak...so this isnt anything secret par silence can also mean failure but i hope thats not the case and they are just gathering more data and editing footage

If anybody has doubt,
The below is from 2015.

BAPL has so far handed over more than 100 BrahMos missiles to the 4th BrahMos missile regiment of the Army. “We are also looking at the possibility of raising the 5th and 6th BrahMos regiments,” Mishra said.
