One thing I don't understand why they are developing TD of HALE don't they have confidence on themselves. A lot of time will be wasted seems like it is also a 10 yr long drama like their other projects.

Whatever excuse you make but they are seriously lagging behind and will probably loose all the lead in coming yrs if they don't ramp up.

These are not excuses, but facts. DRDO is not a private organization with unlimited non-audited fund flow. They have to undergo periodic audit scrutiny and when it comes to R&D, it would always hold you back. Projects which are financially less extensive were always a success. Example the recent Abhyas drone which is much more then a target drone. But the products which require huge investment like CM and UCAV are the field where ADE is lagging. You can't blame them for that.

ADA works on manned aircraft and have 10 times more funding then ADE. The moment funding was cut on Tejas program, we had seen what happened to it.
When it comes to unmanned versions of flight, we never looked beyond the target drones. Only recently, for last half decade I believe, we are seriously working towards it. Even funding for Nirbhay project was cut down.

I guess they borrowed many things from our K-series SLBM program, missile looking very compact in first picture without smoke. definitely a good replacement for all old Agni -1,2 if they produce it in mass numbers
