Nishant---- Success
Abhyas---- Success
Lakshya--- Success
LCA Subsystems and Training kit--- Success.
Lakshya comes from DRDO right?
Nishant and Abhyas are not that big a deal to give any big credit to ADE.
Kids make such system in final year projects of university.

Only LCA Subsystems and Training Kit is significant enough to give them any credit.

ADE is DRDO lab and did made Lakshya.

Yeah, Nishant is kids project and basically our educational institutes should have made it. But did they? If they could have came forward in projects like that, we would have been self sufficient long back.

Regarding Abhyas as I said, it is much much more then a target drone.

Don't know bro , many MIRVed Missiles have blunt nose cone but some don't have.

Agni 5 also have pointing nose cone but it has MIRV. May be they are hiding the nose cone for something .
You're right

I think it's not necessary to have blunt shape nosecone to have MIRVs but to incorporate more MIRVs you need more space hence you need blunt shaped.

May be far-fetched but I have to throw it out there...

Does anyone think the new Prime could/may have tested Fibre-Optic gyros (FOG)-based inertial navigation as a replacement for Ring-laser gyros (RLG) across the board? RLG-INS is a far more proven tech so ideal for use in strategic systems but we've been making progress on FOG-INS for a while now, and any which way the job of the Prime BMs is nothing if not to be a testbed for new techs.

Last time a Prime was tested (2011) it served as a precursor to many techs that later found application in Agni-4 & Agni-5...like composite motor casings, elimination of vented interstages etc.

@porky_kicker need your thoughts.

Whoever made that CGI has no clue what he's doing.

As of Agni-5, no it doesn't have any MIRVs.

Do you need a blunt nose cone to have MIRVs? Not necessarily, but you do need at least a large conical nose, an RV the size of Agni-5's...

...only really has space for a unitary warhead. DRDO does have plans for MIRVs in future BMs like Agni-6 and K-5/K-6, and all of them involve blunt noses as was shown by Dr. VK Saraswat at IIT-Bombay. I'm sure someone here still has those slides.

IDRW is nothing more then Jha jis ranting. Private companies of India are hopeless when it comes to R&D. They are good only at creating JV with foreign OEM. It suits their perspective of maximum profit with minimum investment.
I fully agree to this view point except a very few established ones. ADE is the premier research institute that looks into complex things and there is simply no alternative to it as of now in India...may be when we get our own Boeing or Lockheed

Lot of these things are standards driven and interface oriented and needs investment and understanding of control systems and real time os and so on....it is an investment and will pay dividends down the line but they do need some dynamic managment that thinks like a for profit enterprise....lot of premier central institutes have been diluted and eliminated without replacements and privates never took their place nor filled their role. These institutes need to be small, high quality hiring and well funded with good young management with about 10 to 15 years of experience
