That looks like a complete ammunition dump in itself. If we can also get this beast, it can rain fire on all border outposts on LOC.
It will still not be satisfied. After LoC it will go to mainland Pakistan and wreck havoc. Iron Rain!!

Japan continues to work on creating domestic fifth-generation stealth fighter as seen in footage aired on national TV.

The footage posted on 26 March shows that Mitsubishi Electronics-led team proceeded to test their active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar based on the F-2 fighter aircraft. According to several media reports, the new Japanese AESA radar similar to US-made AN/APG-81, which is installed on Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II fighter jet.

Also showcased for the first time footage of test prototype of a low-bypass turbofan (in some sources called the XF9-1) equipped with afterburners, developed by IHI Corporation as part of a power plant program for an advanced F-3 fighter. The new engine is about 4.8 meters in length, about 1 meter in diameter and more than 15 tons of thrust with afterburner, and more than 11 tons of intermediate thrust without.

The developers said that the new fighter’s engine has basically met the performance requirements of the design. With the adoption of Japan’s material technology, the engine prototype core ensures a reliable operation at a 1800 degree temperature in front of the turbine, which has reached the level of the fourth generation of large aero turbofan engines.

According to the current information, Japan started up the program of development of the domestic stealth fighter in response to the United States’ refusal to sell Japan the Lockheed-Martin F-22 Raptor in 2007. Japanese media also reported that purchasing of newest F-35 Joint Strike Fighter aircraft is an interim solution until Tokyo can develop and produce its own 5th generation fighter.

Last month, the Japanese Ministry of Defense (MoD) has confirmed to Jane’s its plans to pursue a “Japan-led” program to develop a next-generation fighter aircraft that will replace its Mitsubishi F-2 multirole combat platform in the 2030s.

Gripen is out of the running

The Gripen fighter can't seem to land in Switzerland as its manufacturer Saab has dropped out of the race to supply the country with a new fleet of combat aircraft. The company stated that it will no longer partake in flight demonstrations of the Gripen jet planned for June 24-28 in Switherland. According to the company, the decision came after the Swiss procurement agency recommended Saab stay home. The remaining lineup of contenders are the F-18 Super Hornet, the Eurofighter, the Rafale and the F-35A.

The game is now between SH18 and Rafale.
F35 is too complicated, too costly to operate and poorly adapted to a montain environnment (its radar range in loock down shoot down figure in the alps appeared to be bad).
EF is costly, late on the others (no AESA radar so far), too air to air oriented.

British aerospace has fallen so far they have to get the Swedes to design their future stealth fighter.:pound:
there was strong link between SAAB and BAe. It's a natural move. And a point for BAe.
Next step will be Italy : With BAe.

France/Germany/Spain vs GB/Sweden/Itay. Nice match. But a loss of energy.

They have already thrown their money into the F-35, there is nothing left of those bankrupt budgets. The Swedes will have the most money and design expertise to take over the project from the bankrupt and backward Brits. They will not settle for anything less.

The B2 is no longer stealthy. Its large size of 170tons makes it easy to be spotted with modern radars. With advancing semiconductor, the radar Technology has improved massively. The B2 was stealth till 1990s but the semiconductor revolution of 1990s ensured that the radars of 2000s were much more powerful and hence ruined the stealth of B2.

It is now a liability and a big target. It is best that India doesn't try yo make such planes

F 35A kicks the ass of all the contenders on the table if you take all the capabilities it brings to the table in mind. However I think they might opt for the F 18 SH if the Americans give them a better deal, even though the Rafale is much better in the environment of the Alps.

F35 is not FOC, and it will take yearS for that. As for now, it is only a nice marketing object,
