'China building 27 airstrips in Tibet'

China is building or repairing as many as 27 airstrips in Tibet for potential use against India in case of a conflict, according to intelligence agencies.

Beijing has also built several launch pads for nuclear-tipped ballistic missiles in the region, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) has informed the government.

According to RAW, most of these military strips are new. China is also moving its intermediate range of missiles, such as DF-4, stationed in Delingha closer to these airfields. These missiles can hit targets up to 3,000 km away.

Interestingly, the Chinese had complained about India upgrading its airfields in eastern Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh in October.

Beijing's latest infrastructure build-up comes amid reports about how the Chinese army raised objections and brought to halt a road project in Demchok village of Ladakh along the Line of Actual Control.

It's only six airports known to the Chinese. The rest of 27 must have been "built" by RAW or whoever fabricated this lie.
