One of Indian Armed Forces biggest problems is uniformity and standardization among the branches. Good on the Airforce to finally stop using the Army‘s patterns. identify who is from which branch will be much easier now.

the one problem with picking UCP based uniform is that other than Airbases or highly urbanized cities the Airforce personnel will stick out like sore thumb.

they tick out like sore thumb in urban areas in current camo....imo camo for iaf matters very little operationally

it does.. esp for air defence positions. And remote helicopter landing bases. Even more so for Garud.

This camo is for general airmen on station duty. Garud in operational areas will always have the choice of camouflage they find suitable, like MARCOS.

Airmen are not supposed to work outside normal airbases. Probably remote helipads, yes. But we all know camo for the Air force matters very little actually (except for Garuds).
