Can someone explain a bit more on it.
I never thought that brahmos fly without after burner to the target. It is shown for the first time :cool2:
I think they did, I posted that vid here only, I look for it back i will repost it here..When are they going to release Block III target footage? Been waiting ages to see a top attack.

In a bid to enhance indigenous missile manufacturing capabilities, India today successfully test-fired the 290-km range BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from the integrated test range at Chandipur off Odisha coast.
The 32nd test-firing was part of the development trials of the missile which has already been inducted into the Army and the Navy.
The objective of the mission was to evaluate some of the newer subsystems which are produced from the Indian industry as part of production stabilisation, BrahMos officials said, adding more than 25 such systems were incorporated in the development missile.
The launch was primarily aimed at testing the new power systems, materials for airframe components, guidance scheme and various electric systems, they said.
The data obtained from the test-firing is being analysed for large-scale production by Indian industries, they said.
"It was an experimental flight and the missile was tested successfully," ITR Director MVKV Prasad said....
The Defence Ministry has also given a go-ahead to Army to induct a third regiment equipped with the missile system to be deployed in Arunachal Pradesh along the China border...

The Hindu : News / National : Preparations on for Agni-II launch tomorrowBrahMos, India's supersonic cruise missile, failed in its flight on July 29, 2012. Informed sources said BrahMos developed "some problems" during its flight and "it deviated from its path." It could not travel its full range of 290 km and fell into the Bay of Bengal. A committee has been set up to analyse the telemetry. "It is not a serious problem in the system. The failure perhaps had something to do with production, with the indigenisation process," the sources said.
A press release on that day, however, did not mention that BrahMos had failed in its flight. It merely said the 32 flight test of BrahMos took place at 10.30 a.m. from a test range at Chandipur, off the Odisha coast, as part of the development trials. The objective of the mission was to evaluate some of the newer sub-systems which were produced by the Indian industry as part of the product stabilisation, it said. More than 25 such systems were incorporated in the missile. BrahMos, which carries conventional warheads, has already been inducted into the Army and the Navy. The missile travels at 2.8 times the speed of sound.
better luck next time :thumb:"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."

Fidarat Hi Aisi Hai.....Why the false news then?
Its okay if it fails in testing, but shouldn't fail while actually using it
The chief executive officer of BrahMos Aerospace, A Sivathanu Pillai, on Friday said the next target of the Indo-Russian joint venture is to develop a hypersonic cruise missile with a speed of Mach 7.
While delivering the 26th CSIR NAL Foundation Day lecture on self-reliance in aerospace technologies, Pillai said the missile would fly at seven times the speed of sound.
"We are venturing into the hypersonic world where speed is the power. We want to reach Mach 7," he said.
The Centre of Excellence in High Speed Aerodynamics at the Indian Institute of Science and the Moscow Aviation Institute will play a key role in the research and development of the missile.
The present BrahMos which is the only supersonic cruise missile in service has been inducted into the Indian Navy and Army. It has a range of 300km and can fly at a speed of Mach 3. The hypersonic version will have a scramjet engine in place of a ramjet.
Pillai added that while a submarine version of the BrahMos is under development, work on the air launch version for the Indian Air Force, to be fit on the Sukhoi-30 MKI aircraft, has been completed.
"The missile is ready, once the modification on the Sukhoi-30 MKI's is completed trials would be carried out," Pillai added.
On the export prospects of the BrahMos, Pillai said the missile is a globally competitive product and many countries have expressed their interest for the product.
The Indo-Russian joint venture was setup with an investment of $300 million with 50.5 % funding coming from India and 49.5 % from Russia. "We have so far made a business of $4 billion and expect to make about $10 billion," Pillai said.
I would love to hear more. Who has expressed interest? On the export prospects of the BrahMos, Pillai said the missile is a globally competitive product and many countries have expressed their interest for the product.]
Considering how many years and billions of dollars the US has poured into this, is a joint Russo-DODO venture going to do it?
