I think We already have replacement for all brahmose parts but we just following the terms conditions of agreement on workshare that's why not integrating our on stuff!
We are trying to build a new generation of supersonic cruise missile which will be much lighter compared to bramhos and suitable for universal VLS for naval ships along with next gen SAM.

So that may take some time.

Upgrading the current Ramjet Engine to make it travel as fast as Mach 4-5 , according to few reports it can retrofit with Current Brahmos. We need to wait for details.
but the range will reduce ?? or we will use different fuel ??

It's a DEAL...😍😍
Philippines signs for Brahmos missile for 55 million dollars...😊😊
Much more than 55 million, 55 million is advance to be paid upfront... rest with deliveries.

Will only know true cost when Govt discloses it, likely to make much noise over it as it is a major def export. 😎😎😎

Check wolfpack, he quoted the defence budget... 2.8 mill pesos, or 55 mill dollars set aside for preliminary payments or something.
Yeah, budget document I had seen. But the range quoted by this website looked off so I thought it's not just some guesswork to be the 'breaking news' attempt by them

Our next customer should be Vietnam at any cost
We must push aggressively basically air launched version
The Viets are also interested in the anti-ship version since their Su-30MK2s will not be ready to carry the air-launched version. The ASM version makes most sense since the Vietnamese Navy is very close to the Han heartland and will be able to do a lot of damage with those missiles if it came down to an all-out war. They will have to strike air defense targets along the Han coastline and disable a few warships. That would scare the crap out of almost every non-Chinese cargo vessel from entering or even turning towards China. For an export-oriented nation, that's a death knell.

One question though: Are we not the MTCR members? how did BrahMos' range become 650 Km? 290 Km is the maximum we can go for export versions.

We are exporting 290 km version to non mtcr members.

The idea that her navy can get close to Chinese coast to impose huge damage is just Childish. The first thing that Vietnamese navy will do in the first day of a war is: running out of the strike range of Chinese air force.

Are you aware the situation of Vietnamese armed forces?
Coming to strike air defense targets along the Han coastline? With merely 35 Su-30? Are you a Chinese agent?

And it will scare the crap out of Vietnamese leaders. Don't forget Vietnam is an export-oriented nation too. And her dependence on overseas trade is much much bigger.

China has already attacked Vietnam and taken its islands. It is not the first time they are seeing Chinese take what belongs to them. The last thing PLA would do is to obliterate the country on the first day as it would result in worldwide blanket sanctions against China.

They are not strong enough, but they will throw everything they have at it. Vietnamese can't rely on guerrilla war tactics anymore. PLA's speciality is non-contact warfare as they are well aware of their own weaknesses. If you are assuming that Vietnam is going to draw PLA soldiers inside Vietnam and repeat a Nam War, that's not applicable.

Watch who you call Chinese, mate. I am Indian and proud to be so. Dunno why the Singaporean flag is stuck to my profile as I logged in once from there during the travel.

Vietnam may be smaller and poorer than China, but it heavily weighs down on Chinese psychology. The CCP may not show it or laugh at it publicly, but it knows this reality. In no way will Vietnam defeat the PLAN, but they will definitely make it known that they won't go down without a fight.

In the entire Asia Pacific, if there is one other country that can stand up to the PLA in this region, it is Vietnam.
China would wipe the floor with Japan if PLAN would strike them today. Those shiny toys would be useless without war experience. All the Chinese have to do is to reach out to the US behind the scenes and assure them that no American soldiers/assets would be harmed.

To be exact,

no Asian country can stand up to the PLA in this region
