Nope it isn't based on purity of geneology thats a wrong interpretation.,
What I said is related to varna itself, bharatpur jatt's ancestor were yaduvanshi Rajput princes who were saved from huns and then brought up and married to Jaat girls, that's how the degraded their varna from Kshatriya to shudra and their progenies were recognised as jaats and not the Rajputs or Kshatriya in the Indian varna system itself. Bajwa jats of the bajawat area which now is in Pakistan were descendants of a hindu shahi Rajput and thus they called themselves as Suryavanshi jaats but they still were jaats and not Kshatriyas...Varna system itself is based on the purity of the geneology...
Thats probably a very egoistic and caste pride filled interpretation of it.
From gita(god's own words):
ब्राह्मणक्षत्रियविशां शूद्राणां च परन्तप |
कर्माणि प्रविभक्तानि स्वभावप्रभवैर्गुणै:
brāhmaṇa—of the priestly class; kṣhatriya—the warrior and administrative class; viśhām—the mercantile and farming class; śhūdrāṇām—of the worker class; cha—and; parantapa—Arjun, subduer of the enemies; karmāṇi—duties; pravibhaktāni—distributed; svabhāva-prabhavaiḥ-guṇaiḥ—work based on one’s nature and guṇas
The duties of the Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, and Shudras—are distributed according to their qualities, in accordance with their guṇas (and not by birth).
śhamaḥ—tranquility; damaḥ—restraint; tapaḥ—austerity; śhaucham—purity; kṣhāntiḥ—patience; ārjavam—integrity; eva—certainly; cha—and; jñānam—knowledge; vijñānam—wisdom; āstikyam—belief in a hereafter; brahma—of the priestly class; karma—work; svabhāva-jam—born of one’s intrinsic qualities
Tranquility, restraint, austerity, purity, patience, integrity, knowledge, wisdom, and belief in a hereafter—these are the intrinsic qualities of Brahmins.
It's not about genetics.
Its about qualities of person.
Gunas are three modes of material nature.Although they may think they act on their own but they do not , it's the nature that they possess makes them act because the real self ( Atman ) is not affected by material world.
dhyānena—through meditation; ātmani—within one’s heart; paśhyanti—percieve; kechit—some; ātmānam—the Supreme soul; ātmanā—by the mind; anye—others; sānkhyena—through cultivation of knowledge; yogena—the yog system; karma-yogena—union with God with through path of action; cha—and; apare—others
Some try to perceive the Supreme Soul within their hearts through meditation, and others try to do so through the cultivation of knowledge, while still others strive to attain that realization by the path of action
Verse 13-25
prakṛityā—by material nature; eva—truly; cha—also; karmāṇi—actions; kriyamāṇāni—are performed; sarvaśhaḥ—all; yaḥ—who; paśhyati—see; tathā—also; ātmānam—(embodied) soul; akartāram—actionless; saḥ—they; paśhyati—see
They alone truly see who understand that all actions (of the body) are performed by material nature, while the embodied soul actually does nothing.
Verse 13-30
Verse 13-25 clearly indicates that god can be achieved through all types of yogas mentioned in Gita.
Now what does a brahmin with dominant Satvik guna(remember all 3 gunas are present in everyone) behavior is.
āyuḥ sattva—which promote longevity; bala—strength; ārogya—health; sukha—happiness; prīti—satisfaction; vivardhanāḥ—increase; rasyāḥ—juicy; snigdhāḥ—succulent; sthirāḥ—nourishing; hṛidyāḥ—pleasing to the heart; āhārāḥ—food; sāttvika-priyāḥ—dear to those in the mode of goodness
Persons in the mode of goodness(satva) prefer foods that promote the life span, and increase virtue, strength, health, happiness, and satisfaction. Such foods are juicy, succulent, nourishing, and naturally tasteful.
So lets say if a brahmin drinks alcohol, do gambling, eat non-satvik foods etc. Then obviously it shows the Satvika guna isn't dominant in that person thus that person cease to be recognized as brahmin.
So a person who is of brahman nature will have these qualities. And these all are satvic qualitiies so a person who is a brahman will engage in satvic food naturally.
Same can be applied to a Kshatriya a coward, scared, unskilled, greedy person won't qualify as Kshatriya.(
śhauryam—valor; tejaḥ—strength; dhṛitiḥ—fortitude; dākṣhyam yuddhe—skill in weaponry; cha—and; api—also; apalāyanam—not fleeing; dānam—large-heartedness; īśhvara—leadership; bhāvaḥ—qualities; cha—and; kṣhātram—of the warrior and administrative class; karma—work; svabhāva-jam—born of one’s intrinsic qualities
Valor, strength, fortitude, skill in weaponry, resolve never to retreat from battle, large-heartedness in charity, and leadership abilities, these are the natural qualities of Kshatriyas.)
A person I habiting those will always engage in activities acc to their own nature but to become transcendental should be a yogi ,
So if everyone can be a yogi ,
Then how come shudras should be made dead for listening the Vedic verses.
This is corruption of scriptures in kalyuga as already said in many puranas.
