Hmm 700 RHAe of protection at front. I think that would be for CE-HEAT? Still a quantum jump for pakistani capabilities in this area. Arjun mk2, if i remember correctly could handle 750 or so RHAe for CE right?Pakistan getting 100 VT-4 tanks , will be renamed as Al Haider
It is high time to procure more Arjun MK 2 tanks in large numbers to counter this threat.Pakistan getting 100 VT-4 tanks , will be renamed as Al Haider
Wait till the weight is down, engine is ready and we have some more indigenisation under the belt. Then we can start production at a much lower cost.It is high time to procure more Arjun MK 2 tanks in large numbers to counter this threat.
Now question is how time do we have to wait ?Wait till the weight is down, engine is ready and we have some more indigenisation under the belt. Then we can start production at a much lower cost.
I believe, FRCV will be won by Arjun Mk II. At a production rate of 150 tanks per annum, we will be able to replace all T-72 with Arjun Mk II in 13 years. Then we start replacing T-90 with FMBT. In the end, we will end up with an armoured force of >70 Armoured Regiments all Indian tanks.
Meanwhile, Pakistan will still be stuck operating foreign maal dubbed as "Al Chaddar" which will be just another modification of an obsolete T-series tank from the cold war era. And will struggle to maintain parity in numbers as well.
