Yes... Apparently the Army (rightfully so) insisted the tank is too crude & they renamed it to Mark1A until the redesigned, reengineered Mark2 is tested & certified.

Atleast the tech is ready & operational

Any idea here.. about anti-APS measures, being studied by armies around the world, like maybe use fragmentation rounds to damage the sensors, before using ATGMs..
Or is it just relying solely on APFSDS rounds to defeat Active protection systems ?

Precisely. Or you could just overwhelm the system by firing cheaper anti-tank rockets like Vampir or Panzerfaust 3 and then have the infantry (or a UCAV if you have access to one)fire the ATGMs, although it will be difficult to coordinate all of that in the heat and confusion of a pitched battle.
Could also make use of ATGMs armed with EFP warheads.

Also Israeli APS worked well against Hezbollah atgms.. But, not sure how well it would work, against a serious nation state adversary, where the performance of the AESA radar might be degraded due to Electronic warfare..

No APS won't work if there is no APS... I explained well what the Thermobaric round of Arjun is meant to do just two pages ago.
