Currently the most difficult part of stealth is sensor Fusion many look for the physical aspects of stealth but forget sensor Fusion.
India has expertise of sensor fusion on big ships, it's already deployed on Frontline combat ships.Currently the most difficult part of stealth is sensor Fusion many look for the physical aspects of stealth but forget sensor Fusion.
The latest design of AMCA looks almost similar to YF 23 and F 22 raptor. The design revealed this year at Aero India was vastly different from the design that was doing the rounds fir the last 5 years. The new design looks a lot like the Raptor. Previous design guestimate was of a tailless fighter with delta wings. Now we have a twin tailed design.
So safe to say that nothing is certain about the MCA design. Only when the AF and the designers sit together will anything come out. Besides we still don't have a GSQR for it.

Look at the aerodynamics of the plane. It seems that the mistakes they made in Tejas is taken care in AMCA. The new trend in the in plane design seem to be (Purely my opinion) low cross section and longer length to make planes more aerodynamic. Use fuselage as control surface to reduce the wing area to make it more agile. I may be wrong.

Black widow was more complex and less maneuverable because this it was tailless design. AMCA is not exactly like it. It more of a combination of both F-22 and F-23 but smaller. It looks similar to YF-23 black widow.
Black Widow is stealthier than Raptor, but was more maintenance intensive & costly. I remember that Raptor was more manoeuvrable of both.
One major difference is black widow is tailless.Maybe to increase manoeuvrablity of AMCA, tails were added.
I won't say it's a mix of YF-23 & F-22.Black widow was more complex and less maneuverable because this it was tailless design. AMCA is not exactly like it. It more of a combination of both F-22 and F-23 but smaller.
5th gen? We're still trying to sort out 4th gen issues while the West is well on its way to produce 6th gen fighters!First get 5g airframe in air, then add rest. Get it fast.
Good lord, West is trying to develop 5th gen not 6th with 6th gen feature. Integrated pulse weapon for frying enemy electronics, hmm it's 2060. Why propulsion you're talking about, for normal flights ie subsonic and supersonic you need turbofan, for high supersonic, you need ramjet, for Hypersonic, you need Scramjet. Wanna integrate those propulsion into one, okay it's possible for a big aircraft but not for a fighter size aircraft, even in 2040. Those speed of light weapons will still need a fire control and constant beam shaping, for targeting a moving target. First one is pretty hilarious, you wanna morph things in reality [emoji23], the only material which will be used in 6th gen is shape memory alloy, and it's derivatives currently being developed by BAE, FIBRE OPTICS already been used on several aircrafts, great a large integrated aircraft that will replace nose radar, hmm that sensor is present on Rafale, advance variant will be available on Japanese, Korean and Indian 5th gen fighters, also known as active element technology in India, "aircraft will teach pilot to take actions ", available on F16s of USAF, and it actually landed with pilot being unconscious, so the proof of concept is already been used on F16. For frying enemy electronics, you need EMP, note that enemy aircraft is no joke and it is been tested under same conditions. Wow, cloaking technology, sure the vimana tech right [emoji3], learn something about terrahertz material or metamaterials for stealth against RF and IR frequencies. And then cloak for eyes, a complete rubbish," Anti gravity tech" yeah make pods in air and move aircraft like Hyperloop for that speed -_-. Neuron based networking is currently under research but not feasible for application on military, so again the story has fancy dreams. Should bring MQ-9 Reaper drone, for your last wish.5th gen? We're still trying to sort out 4th gen issues while the West is well on its way to produce 6th gen fighters!
Here are the Qualitative Requirements for a 6th generation fighter as enunciated
to be far stealthier than fifth generation aircraft.
>It should be able to change its shape in flight, “morphing” to optimize for either speed or endurance.
> Its engines would be re-tunable in-flight for efficient supersonic cruise or subsonic loitering. (Hypersonics—that is, the ability of an air vehicle to travel at five times the speed of sound, or faster—has routinely been suggested as an attribute of sixth generation fighters).
> Armed with directed energy weapons—high-powered microwaves and lasers for defense against incoming missiles or as offensive weapons themselves. Munitions would likely be of the “dial an effect” type, able to cause anything from impairment to destruction of an air or ground target. These 'Speed of light' weapons, could negate the importance of the maneuverability we see in today’s fighters. There won’t be time to maneuver away from a directed energy attack. Because the DE beam shoots out at the speed of light or 186,000 miles per second!
> Materials and microelectronics technologies would combine to make the aircraft itself a large integrated sensor, possibly eliminating the need for a nose radar as it is known today. It would be equipped for making cyber attacks as well as achieving kinetic effects, but would still have to be cost-effective to make, service, and modify.
> Wide-ranging, intuitive views of “the extended world” around the aircraft. The aircraft will collect its own data and seamlessly fuse it with on and off-board sensors, including those on other aircraft. The difference from fifth generation will be the level of detail and certainty—the long-sought automatic target recognition.
> Embedded sensors and microelectronics will also make possible sensor arrays in locations that previously weren’t available because of either heat or the curvature of the surface, providing more powerful and comprehensive views of the battlefield. Although the aircraft probably won’t be autonomous, it will be able to “learn” and advise the pilot as to what actions to take—specifically, whether a target should be incapacitated temporarily, damaged, or destroyed.
> Traditional electronics will give way to photonics. There would have fewer wires, like on a multiplexed fiber-optic bus that connects all the systems, and because you can do things at different wavelengths of light, you can move lots of data around airplanes much faster, with much less weight in terms of 'wire bundles'. Fiber optics would also be resistant to jamming or spoofing of data and less prone to cyber attack.
> Integrated Pulse Weapons that could fry an enemy aircraft’s electronic systems from miles away.
Now that's one hell of a weapons platform!
And some are already talking of 7th gen which would likely be reality well before the end of this century. That would mean Cloaking Technology making the aircraft disappear completely from the visual as well as from the EM spectrum! Anti gravity technology allowing speeds in excess of Mach 50. Laser weapons and total control on maneuver with mind control sensors.
And that would mean Unmanned Weapons Platforms (UAPs) with 'pilots' sitting hundreds of miles away but with complete and total situational awareness - flying in VR - Virtual Reality!
And the DRDO is still trying to unravel the mysteries of 5th gen technologies!
Didn't I mention 'before the end of this century'? Truth is stranger than fiction.Good lord, West is trying to develop 5th gen not 6th with 6th gen feature. Actually most of them are fiction not truth, aircraft changing shape [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23] .Didn't I mention 'before the end of this century'? Truth is stranger than fiction.
You do realise that aircraft that change their wings already exist - have done so for years. We have one in our air force. Is it that much of a shock that in the future, control surfaces can be made to change shape midflight?Actually most of them are fiction not truth, aircraft changing shape [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23] .

Elaborate please, and which aircraft. You do realise that aircraft that change their wings already exist - have done so for years. We have one in our air force. Is it that much of a shock that in the future, control surfaces can be made to change shape midflight?
Tejas has shape memory alloy only in conduit pipes. Which aircraft's are made such that, it can adjust its hold with respect to aerodynamic requirements, drag and uses flight control system which Diagnosis itself wrt change made. You do realise that aircraft that change their wings already exist - have done so for years. in which world u are living ?? how will get power for direct energy weapons on airplanes? plus human has some glimits we cant survive in 5 mach speed lol u looks like watch lots of marvel moviesDidn't I mention 'before the end of this century'? Truth is stranger than fiction.
Okay, and what should we expect ?5th gen? We're still trying to sort out 4th gen issues while the West is well on its way to produce 6th gen fighters!

Just a little over 100 years ago, scientists said that it is impossible to fly in a heavier than air machine. We've even reached the Moon. I'm sure Wilbur Wright wasn't reading Marvel comics.bro

Do you even know WTF you are talking about @darshan978 ? A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Mach number is the ratio of the speed of the craft to the speed of sound at sea level which is 760 mph. Mach 5 would mean travelling at a continuous speed of 760 X 5 mph. This has absolutely nothing to do with g-force which is acceleration. g-forces are expressed in multiples of the acceleration of standard gravity. So a pilot in an aircraft in a tight turn at high speed experiences g-forces which he can withstand upto 8-g with a g-suit for a short time.plus human has some g limits we cant survive in 5 mach speed lol u looks like watch lots of marvel movies
Check out the video below. You may then avoid pasting sarcastic laughing emojis out here.Actually most of them are fiction not truth, aircraft changing shape [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23] .
