With advanced Patton tanks they couldn't do anything to us. IA with centurion tanks decimated Pattons so how does they send shivers now when IA infantry is better equipped than '65.
Past performance is not always indicative of future perfomance. People learn from their mistakes. Don't discount your opponent like that

Why don't IA ever consider T84 Oplot? Are they ever gonna upgrade T90s to M standard ever?

T-90 was acquired as a result of Pakistan purchasing T-80 from Ukraine in early 2000s. They as usual had first mover advantage. Moreover, Oplot came into being later as Ukraine stabilised etc. It did not make sense to source same product from similar manufacturer.
T-72 commonality with T-90 required less investment in re training, setting up logistics etc.
Finally, we save Russian tank industry with that order. Everything was rusty and dormant that time in troubled Russia.

Exactly. Back then IA infantry under armed fought and won. now we have Apache helis and other assets which will take out their installation and provide cover for our infantry. Don't discount our strength as 1v1 tank battle won't takes place in war.

Yes we need replacement of T72 and modernise our infantry to have edge over our rivals
Modernise T-90 to Russian T-90M level, for second echelon formation we can upgrade T-72M1 to
T-72B3M level. This can deliver significant punch to our potential adversaries for another 15 years.
In meantime, if everything works out we can crystallise for the next FRCV.
Ps: Army instead of returning CAPEX budget could have used it.

ARMY selected Saab LEDS 150, then nothing happened. Maybe now they will again run trial for new APS for another couple of years.

Pakistan Selects Slovakian Turra 30 Combat Module for Locally-made Infantry Vehicle
Pakistan has selected the Slovakian-made Turra 30 combat module for its Viper infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) being developed by local firm, Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT).

HIT unveiled a prototype of Viper IFV at the IDEAS 2018 held in Karachi. The company is currently developing the new Viper IFV under license to replace its ageing M113 armored personnel carrier (APC). The Viper IFV retains lengthened chassis from the M113 APCs but has an additional road wheel and is protected by appliqué armour.

It has been fitted with modified Turra 30 remotely controlled weapon station (RCWS) armed with Slovakian Shipunov 30mm automatic cannon, Kalashnikov PKT 7.62 mm medium machine gun (MG), two ready-to-use 9M113 Konkurs (AT-6 ‘Spandrel’) anti-tank guided missiles and smoke dischargers. The Konkurs missiles and Kalashnikov MG, Janes reported quoting an unnamed source from HIT as saying Thursday.

Pakistan chose Slovakian Turra 30 over Ukrainian BM-7 Parus combat module. HIT held comprehensive trials of the Ukrainian Parus module before rejecting it, TASS reported quoting an unnamed source as saying Thursday.

“The BM-7 remote-controlled combat module has failed to meet the requirements of the Pakistani army both by its quality and its price,” the source said.

Pakistan Army inducts new Dongfeng Menshi armored vehicles for counter-terrorism operations
According to a tweet from The Intel Consortium echoed by Salman Ahmed in propakistani.pk, the Pakistan Army has acquired around 300 Chinese-made DongFeng Mengshi GEN-III CSK-182 4×4 Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC). Their deliveries started in 2021.

This vehicle was selected as the next-generation tactical vehicle of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in 2017. Specialized variants are also available other than standard APC configuration: battlefield ambulance, signals/electronic intelligence, command & control vehicle, a platform for heavy weapons like a rocket launcher or an ATGM launcher.

Dongfeng Mengshi is a family of 4×4 MRAP/off-road vehicles developed by Dongfeng Motor Group. Early generations of the vehicle are license-built Hummer H1, while later generations of the vehicles are of indigenous design. Dongfeng Mengshi generally follows the trend of American military requirements. For example, CSK-141 is the Chinese equivalent of an armor-plated reinforced Humvee, while CSK-181 is the Chinese equivalent of the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle.

The Mengshi CSK-182 has a top speed of 120 km/h and an autonomy of 600 kilometers. It weighs around 8 tons. CSK-181 is the new generation of a light tactical vehicle developed by Dongfeng for PLA. CSK-181 is based on CSK-141 with a driver, a weapon station operator as co-driver, and 8 seats. The variant has improved satellite communication capability, longer-range night-vision cameras and most importantly, Mine-Resistant Ambush Protection capability. All CSK-181 are equipped with a remote-controlled turret, which can be mounted with machine guns, anti-tank missile and grenade launchers. The vehicle entered service in 2020. CSK-182 is the shorter version of CSK-181 with 6 seats including a driver and a weapon station operator. It's based on EQ2111.

Brochure of the failed Al Khalid-1 tank

Images from here.
ERA coverage is piss poor.
The Engine is a disaster (2 stroke diesel)
The Commanders sights are Image intensifiers(very old tech)
I don't think POF makes any Cannon fired ATGMs and the rounds they use of AP are comparable to the BM-42 with us but I doubt they have even a fraction of the numbers that we do.

1671342546147.png

They ran the sasta version of defexpo called NoIdeas 2022 and the POF stall had a new long rod penetrator that (allegedly) has 650mm dop.Dont think it is in production.
But the tank has multiple reverse gears so great for retreating(which is one step before they surrender)
No wonder they canned this garbage dump on fire and got the Chinese VT4 Al Haier (downgraded models of those that Thais operated maybe because they could not afford the best export model)

These type of things happened many times from Indian side I can post multiple pictures and do you have any concrete evidence these are Pakistani T 69 Afghanistan has also these tanks in big numbers so these tactics are not good when asked a counter question and you don't have answers

The only tank I envied Pakistan had in its inventory was the T80UD. Any reason why it is being retired instead of older chinese made tank.
