This happened with Apache last year so I think it might have happened again.

It says -
"While flying, sparks started to coming out of its wings, and then the helicopter started to land".

There is no place for any spark in helicopter's rotors, unless villages mistook MAWS-activated flares as "sparks".

I know, so now it’s most likely that MAWS went off, the less the sensors the more the chances of false alarm.
