It was being flown by a Brazilian instructor and damaged parts will be replaced by Embraer at no cost.

Aircraft crashes during training exercise in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district, no casualties reported
A trainer aircraft crashed in Dhana area of Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district. The two occupants of the aircraft- the trainer and the trainee- are reportedly safe.


The crash took place on Saturday afternoon while the plane was trying to land on a runway.

The single-engine aircraft, a Cessna 172, is owned by Dhana-based Chimes Aviation Academy. The academy had been banned from using the airstrip after one of its aircraft crashed last year, killing its two occupants. The ban was imposed on the private academy for flouting the norms. The ban was lifted later.

It does look like something is burning in that video. But it's not clear what is exactly burning there.

JF17 engines are not reliable, they may say it is bird strike. I suspect structural issues and engine reliablity.
