On 3 November, a Russian-made MiG-29 multirole fighter crashed during a training mission in Egypt. The cause of the crash is unknown at this point, the Egyptian pilot managed to eject safety. No further details on the modification of MiG-29 aircraft have been released. According to Russia's Kommersant newspaper, MiG-29 figher jet was supplied by Russia to Egypt as part of commersial contract in 2008.

A Tupolev-22M3 bomber crashed on Tuesday afternoon while trying to land at an air base near Olenegorsk, the Murmansk Region. Three crew members died. One survived. A source in the law enforcement said that according to early estimates the pilot’s mistake made in bad weather was to blame.

Whenever a MIG crashed, they used to blame "poor quality Russian equipment". This irked Russia to the extent that their media said that Indian pilots fly "like cowboys" and blame Russian equipment. Didn't know that Jaguar was Russian as well.

Good that an inquiry has been ordered. Heads should roll. One cannot be given a clean chit just because they were a part of the mishap. It's a "Pakistan is a victim of terrorism" kinda logic to let them go scott free just because they were hurt in the accident. They should still investigate if the negligence of the people involved were responsible for their own mishap.
