Worst part is, orders for LUH will still take time. These are well past their life, should be retired by now.News saying it was a Cheetah heli this time
It's been almost 20 years since they started talking about replacing Cheetah and Chetak in 2004..Worst part is, orders for LUH will still take time. These are well past their life, should be retired by now.
Meanwhile yesterday someone posted that "significant chunk" of armed forces' budget will go unutilized. It's been almost 20 years since they started talking about replacing Cheetah and Chetak in 2004..
Nope, AFAIK army has the least wastedMeanwhile yesterday someone posted that "significant chunk" of armed forces' budget will go unutilized.
99% it's Indian Army topping the list and maybe IAF second to that.
Yes you are correct. But still 28% unused while their purchase products are already available . Standardized guns, kits, ATAGs, LUH.Nope, AFAIK army has the least wasted
next navy
last AF
Nothing else left to say
Even when they order them it’ll be 12 LSP first and then maybe 3 years later a larger order. At this rate there will still be Chetak/Cheetah in service come 2030 but of course the generals that are sat idle On these issues won’t ever have to fly on these ancient birdsWorst part is, orders for LUH will still take time. Inb4 air chief making cringy comments about how cheetah is a totally awesome aircraftEven when they order them it’ll be 12 LSP first and then maybe 3 years later a larger order. LUH offers all weather performance with an AFCS as compared to the day-only, VFR only Chetak/Cheetahs that need full manual flying throughout. The contrast between the LUH and its predecessors is stark but of course the circus needs to prevail before any actual orders are placed. In the meantime who cares How many skilled and capable aviators are lost, in many other countries this would be a scandal and generals would be held accountable.
In other news, the veteran community who publicly degraded the ALH project this week must be feeling especially ridiculous:
How can respect for human life exist in a billion plus population? Look at our road accident stats. We are China with a Gucci belt in the safety department.Ye aise hi chalta rahega... No one bothered about human resources in our country. Aaj ka naya commissioned officer jo aaj worried dikhega.. 20 saal baad is sab ko defend karta dikhayi dega... Jo chinta salary aur perks ko lekar hoti hai wo hardware aur uske maintainance ko lekar kyo nahi hoti.. Open Secret this is..
LSP is a practical procedure. The users have to give feedback after using the LSPs. That's how integration of new equipment or modification of existing systems is carried out.Even when they order them it’ll be 12 LSP first and then maybe 3 years later a larger order.
