Air power on the cheap

Today I was scouring the net in aerospace sites and came across this ad. It’s by the Canadian company Bombardier and just look at what they’re trying to accomplish.

There’s a recent attempt by Embraer ti collaborate strategically with us. Would it not make sense to join the C-390 program and modify assets to make something like this - a monster of a maritime patrol aircraft?

If a Canada with zero enemies can think of such ideas why are we in the dark?

mostly gimmick, depending on situation it can possibly get some kills but is likely to be shot down by any halfway competent force most of the times.
