So this is just above 5000 Kms.

This means that our SFC can easily fire the A5 from Nagpur and hit at the far end of China, in worse case situation.

It is difficult to attack USA directly and for USA to attack India directly as the curvature of the earth will come in place. The ballistic trajectory is not actually ballistic when you have to go half way around the world.

Satellites can't be made to target specific location as orbital re-entry hasn't been perfected yet by any country mainly due to the risks of mishaps involved

It's part of the nuclear posturing for a government to randomly select a missile from the collection every year to test fire it, to display credibility.
