The hindi song is my favourite , the only song till date

Brahmos-NG in air-to-air mode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Honestly, I didn't see this coming)

https://theprint.in/defence/stage-s...-with-brahmos-missile-final-test-soon/196256/

“It is going to be the future of our armed forces,” he said. “Though initially designed for the Navy, we are now developing an air-to-air version,” he added, crediting Defence Secretary Sanjay Mitra for the idea.

He said the BrahMos NG would be used to hit slow-moving targets like a airborne warning and control systems (AWACS), transporters and refuellers.
In simple words, they are talking of a AAM with RAMJET engine. May be Babu has asked BRAHMOS if they could design something like that.

Well it's not a regular AAM with a Ramjet! It's a ONE TONNE heavy missile that may not have the maneuverability of even an AAM from two generations ago! That's why the qualifier 'slow moving' target!
It might take out PAF/PLA's Shaanxi Y8s but not SAAB Erieye!

Why so serious?

Su-30MKI gets indigenous 3D printed fuel system elbow part
Anil Urs Updated on February 23, 2019

The Su-30 MKI aircraft would be fitted with indigenously certified 3D printed fuel system elbow part for the first time using additive manufacturing technology.

The certification was handed over by P Jayapal, CE (CEMILAC) to Arup Chatterjee, Director (Engineering and R&D) at the Aero India 2019 on Saturday. The 3D printed fuel system elbow part is certified by CEMILAC. As part of the Phase-IV Su-30 MKI manufacturing under Transfer of Technology from Russia there is a shortage of some castings for manufacturing of components. Owing to this HAL has chosen Fuel system elbow as a pilot component for fabrication through additive manufacturing process.

Dr T R Rajanna, CD (AERDC-HAL) handed over the certified elbow part to Huliraj R V, CD (AURDC-HAL) in the presence of R Madhavan, CMD, HAL.

Bharat Forge looks to build quadcopter

The Kalyani Group has conducted a successful flight of its Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). An UAV team was created at their R&D centre in Pune and their first UAV flew successfully after all possible technical simulations, Baba Kalyani, CMD, Bharat Forge, said.

The next challenge is to build a quadcopter that can lift 50 kgs of weight, to help the army carry things in mountainous regions, Kalyani said.

The Kalyani group was working towards high-tech products such as guided bombs (250 kgs to 1,000 kgs), giving bombs a high level of accuracy, landing gear components and warhead seekers apart from the UAVs.

Foreign OEM Leiber was buying landing gear components from Bharat Forge and was now also had an opportunity to supply for Airbus very soon, Kalyani said.

They are also working on turbo machinery, which started three to four years ago and is a ten year plan to make small turbines, small jet engines (up to 1,000-1,200 kgs) usable for helicopters as well, he said. “This is our next opportunity as India is looking to purchase over 1,500 choppers over 10 and on an average one helicopter needs three times engines so the number of engines required will be quite high,” Kalyani said.

Currently, supply components to big companies like Rolls-Royce, Boeing, Liebher, HAL etc., aim to substantially increase this with more value addition,

The Kalyani Group has announced three defence and aerospace partnerships at the Aero show in Bengaluru with AMG Partners, USA, defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd and Belcan LLC.
Bharat Forge and AMG Partners to get into a partnership to invest in new and advanced technologies in defence and aerospace domain where they will identify global advanced manufacturing technologies for joint development, licensing and world-class manufacturing operations in India. The Kalyani Group and Belcan, LLC have got into a partnership to provide advanced technological product and service offerings in defence, aerospace, and other technical segments in India. The companies will work together in the design and development of helicopter engines and transmission systems in defence and aerospace, as well as collaborate on advanced manufacturing practices and digital manufacturing & IoT solutions. With Bharat Electronics the co-operation in defence and aerospace products/systems is to jointly capitalize on the emerging opportunities in the domestic market.

Kalyani Group Eyes New Opportunities In Defence

Baba Kalyani is eyeing opportunities in manufacturing jet turbo engines and drones for the Indian defence market in addition to artillery guns that it is making for the army.

The Pune-based company supplies jet engines that are used in tanks and is looking to develop engines that can be used for helicopters, Baba Kalyani, chairman at Bharat Forge Ltd., part of the Kalyani Group, said in an interaction with the media at Aero India. “In their life, helicopters require at least three engines, and that opens up a big opportunity for us,” he said, but added his group won't get into aero structures and aerospace.

“We want to stick to our strengths,” said Kalyani. “We are strong in metallurgy, forging area and will ensure we play to our strengths.”

The Kalyani group entered defence manufacturing seven years ago through Kalyani Strategic Systems. The group is making advanced towed artillery guns for the Army. These are under user trial. Once complete and inducted, the Kalyani Group will have to supply 150. It also makes and exports aero defence systems to Israel's Rafael Advanced Defence Systems.

The group had a revenue of Rs 500 crore from defence, with exports accounting for 20 percent. In the last few years, it has increased its spends on Research and Development. “We now spend in double digits on R&D,” Kalyani told BloombergQuint.

He said the environment has changed in the last five years for private sector defence players. There is good engagement between the industry and the Defence Research and Development Organisation in designing and developing products, said Kalyani. The defence forces realise since the lifecycle of the products is being 25-40 years, only domestic players can supply parts on a continuous basis, according to Kalyani.

By 2025, a large part of the army's requirement will be made in India and the domestic industry will be able to fulfill these needs, he said.

SPORT trainer walk around. Nice video must watch.

Guys please try to show appreciation to this channel by atleast subscribing to the channel and liking the videos.

It goes a long way to encourage them and encourage others to come up with similar efforts.
He was talking about loitering munition! Or drones ... best part he said they are under development, imagine half a squadron of Tejas inside our air space and controlling the drones to eliminate terrorist camps deep inside POK.
