I am not for doing discrimination against NE people since I never do and neither suggest. But I am asking why the hell they forget when they abduct/kill Hindi Bhashi? Why make such hue and cry when just verbal things are told??? Why no youtube videos and hue and cry just because they are just poor laborers???

Luckily I am not sitting in any Podgay Hills but a place where I interact with people of almost all states so whether its a Pahari,Kashmiri,Punjabi,NE,South Indian,Bengali,Marathi.

What I see is that except NE people all other communities mingle easier with each other but NE people makes separate groups.Why stay in their ghettos and not come in mainstream??? There are very few who do.

I studied for six years in chennai and I too have interacted with NE. They are nothing like what you people claim. I already have given te reason for them roaming among their groups- language barrier and not because of Racism.

And who said we dont give a damn about killings of other state people in NE? Have we ever justified it? Your argument is akin to- since they kill biharis, we should not care about these incidents of racism. Well How do you expect to change this discrimination against them, if you are not even willing to admit that this is wrong? Do you think discrimination against NE would make it better for non-north easterners lving there? Seriously, how do you expect them to integrate with the mainland if "mainland " is not willing to stop racism against them?

I understood both. Hindi states as well as your idea of India. Just to summarize your points in the thread:

NE- they are terrorists, murderers and rapists. They have almost negligible number of MPs, so they do not matter for India.

HP and UK- they are mountains areas depending on tourist spending of rich Hindi hearland people. Negligible population, so they do not matter.

Karnataka, TN, Maha etc(i.e. South)- They are so stupid and dumb that they will fight against each other if the great heartland people do not intervene. Enough population but always at loggerheads with each other, so they do not matter.

UP, Bihar, MP, Haryana and Raj- The only worthwhile region in India which is keeping the whole country together.

My major objection to the stuff being discussed on this thread is @Pratap's view that the "Hindi heartland" is somehow the "core" of India and everything else is peripheral. Ustad summarized @Pratap's points well some posts ago. This view is shared by many "Hindi heartlanders" to various degrees, they they are "Indians" and that everyone else is either suspect, or a curiosity and a subject of ridicule. When it is obvious that they are not contributing to the nation proportionate to their massive numbers, I wonder on what basis they jump up and down calling themselves Indians and call others names and ridicule them.
@Pratap, who is denying any racism or discrimination against "South Indians", was himself making racist and nasty comments against South Indians in his previous avatar, @MAYURA.

I agree with one point by @rock127 that though Raj Thackeray ought not to beat and bash Biharis and Bhaiyyas physically, he does have a point about cultural invasion and arrogance of certain groups in the nation.
