If all pans out well by next year ending Steppe homeland of PIE hypothesis will die out just like Anatolian hypothesis.
According to the Max Plank institute, the dates for PIE have been pushed back to 11kbp, with an origin in Iran. This makes Indo-Europeanization a Neolithic phenomena, and there has been no complete data, that contradicts this.
Sanskrit/Proto-Vedic speaker in Harappa....My bet is ON.
I believe absence of steppe ancestry in Harappa and archaelogical similarities to Vedic culture in Saraswati-Sindhu could have been one of the final nails in the coffin.
