The point is, he is antagonizing the traditionally-conservative Orthodox people and even those within NATO such as Georgia, Hungary, Serbia and Romania are not going to appreciate this. We may find it all amusing as it is alien to us, but to the average Ukrainian, this is crossing a line. They are not fanatical religiously but see it as altering their culture and traditions which is a big deal in eastern European countries.
