Hope you guys don't mind if I post SF kit etc here to as well as the actual guys who use it...think it's an important thing to keep up with.
The Batch II Type-212 subs the Germans and Italians have, have enhanced SOF capabilities.
CS has a nice illustration he put together.
If you look at the top of the rear hull you see some of the very secretive Italian navy capabilities The "Deep guardian" dry deck shelter for smaller DPDs, kit etc that can be opened underwater, you also see their "Deep Shadow" SDV and the cradle it sits on when mounted on a sub.
If you look to the right of the rear hull you'll see a German system, these 2 SF kit containers are mounted to the side of the hull.
Moving forward, to the sail German subs (Italians don't) have a 4 man lockout chamber mounted into the sail with an access door.
Going forward again to the topedo room, the subs have an enlarged torpedo tupe for SF.LARGE UUV launching.
