Well maybe in some old dispatchs. I read this in a book on the Irish ARW. And then confirmed it with an old timer.

Normal UN duties in Somalia. 93 time or so (same time as black hawk down). Their convoy got ambushed and they fought their way out with no casualties

Dutch MARSOF detaching their DPD's from a sub while submerged in the Caribbean.

Belgian combat divers from the SFG Blue SQN.

Interesting thing is these 2 units are going to combine somewhat over the next few years into a combined maritime force, they'll train/equip with each other to a much greater degree, the Belgians for instance will be allowed to regularly train with the Dutch subs, they'll have a combined C&C team, guys will embed operationally into each others unit. If they go operational in a war they'll be one unit.

Shadow Warriors
Book by Paul O'Brien and Wayne Fitzgerald

It's on the Irish ARW.

In its entire deployment to Somalia the Indian Contingent lost around 12 troops. These type ambushes were a normal part of the deployment for all UN forces.
Can you also post some books on this thread?? Thanks
