Posted the investigation into the ASAS some time back also.. its not just the AussiesIt's not the first time, few days back there was a report of Australians troop killing a POW because they didn't have enough space in the helicopter for more members, there are images of Australian troops waving Nazi flags, using nazi flags on the ICVs etc. Though reading those sounded like few lone accidents but this report is raising some serious concerns about the professionalism of the troops.
Interestingly at the same times there are huge number of reports about British intelligence violating human rights, reports about them continuing to do so with immunity, was all over reddit.
the Germans are debating to disband the KSK as well after a number of their subunits were stood down. A whole host of KSK members were found to be members of a Nazi Group and were stockpiling weapons for them.
The issues with Seals and Drug Running , Fracticide and other HR abuses is also getting farcical now.
There is a definite price to pay when you combine - Elitism culture outside Military Chain of Command + Unrelenting warfare + unbridled nationalism ---> 2 decades of of the GWOT is showing its cracks now.
How does it impact us? how do we learn lessons from here and prepare better for the realities of war and psyche going into the future?
