on the bright side, union budget has doubled from 17 lakh crore in 2014 to 34 lakh crore in 2021.

People should not be discouraged by overall lack of budget increase for defense.

Overall budget has hardly gone up, but pension budget went down, meanwhile capital budget for acquisitions increased 13% for Army, 20+ % for Air Force, and 23% for Navy.

Also, during the standoff with China, we apparently spent about 21,000 Crore Rupees for acquisitions which were totally unbudgeted.

Not bad for a pandemic year. Also, same amount of money goes a much farther distance if you increase indigenous acquisitions.

Very strange list. Increase import duties will increase the prices for short term but the intent is to strengthen domestic products. Strangly leather products are shown to be cheaper when import duty is increased. Same logic is not being applied here.

Has UP got any massive infra projects in this Budget? Yogi ain't a corrupt fuck, and he is actually interested in UP's economy. He is doing the correct reforms, but he also needs support from Centre for infra. If anyone knows about UP, please tell.

And also about Karnataka. What projects have been started or stuff being done in KA?

Kerala got pretty good allocations. Especially for infra. But I strongly don't think it is for elections. By those standards, WB should have gotten more than Kerala.
