Country flag
Dravidstan emerged from anti-brahminism
Dravidstan emerged from an engineered racial and cultural hatred of everything that is north of AP and Karantaka. Good thing is that no one gave a crap to it

Periyar E. V. Ramasamy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Periyar also stated that if words of North Indian origin (Sanskrit) are removed from Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, only Tamil will be left
..............
..............
Periyar believed that Tamil language will make the Dravidian people unite under the banner of Tamil culture, and that it will make the Kannadigas, Andhras and the Malayalees be vigilant. With regards to a Dravidian alliance under a common umbrella language, Periyar stated that "a time will come for unity. This will go on till there is an end to the North Indian domination. We shall reclaim an independent sovereign state for us"

Nope that was periyars argument .All ayyers and ayyengars were aryans acc to him
What bullshit. Brahmanism is a social ideology and not a racial one. Scientific studies have shown that there are profound racial differences between North and South Indians. Aryan Invasion Theory was just invented by Britishers to justify colonialism. During the Victorian Era all great civilizations were considered to be either direct Aryan descendants (like Rome, Greece, Persia) or Aryan colonies (India, China, and even Incas!).

Even the term "Aryan" is not a racial but social term. Arya means "noble", isn't it? Even Dravidian kings called themselves Aryas.

Here is the "Dravidian" Chola using an "Aryan" script in their coinage

File:Rajendra coin.png - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

From Wiki:

So Periyar should have stopped using the term "Dravidian" since it came from Sanskrit
what's the big deal? they were staunch Shaivites and followed Brahminical faith. Brahmins were held in high esteem by the emperor and maybe they gave importance to Sanskrit and Tamil.
Btw most copper pates and stone inscriptions are in Tamil.

only for periyar. Ambedkar did not call for a separate land or for violence against brahmins.

he didn't call for a separate mahar-desh or go running to the british masters with a begging bowl in hand like jinnah or periyar did.
No he asked for separate communal electorates .so ambedkar was not pro british rotflamo!

ah, so it's all those pesky brahmins fault, just like it was always the jews fault that germany lost WW1 and it is always the yahudi's fault in pakistan.
otherwise the great cholan 3rd reich would have lasted upto eternity. how so very nazi-like.

p.s. please don't think I am mocking the cholans, I find them fascinating and am proud of them. I just can't stand narrow minded bigots.
Cholas are fish folk I think not brahmin.
brahminical means one who follows those concepts, not one who is brahmin himself.

Because even in those times the lower castes were pretty well off.The Cholas were not only staunch Hindus but they also gave importance to Tamil a lot.
Compared to the Pallava period the Chola period had much less casteism. And they were not Brahminical they were 100% Dravidians. That caste is still dominant in Tanjore.

Do you know that one of the reasons that Shaivism thrived under the Cholas was because there were lot of Non brahmin holymen and religious leaders? It was Vashnavism that was mostly popular among brahmins.

Besides it was not all rosy picture for the Brahmin community.Rahul you should watch the Kamal Hassan movie 'Dasavatharam'.There is a scene about a Chola king and what he did to a particular Brahmin sect.

I don't know why cal those preist class people as evil. You should stop that and give them more respect.:D

Btw,who are those "chauvinists"?
