I would also like to say 'Gowthami putra Satakarni'.

He is a Satavahana dynasty emperor who fought Greeks and other foreigners.

He ruled Telugu regions and Maharashtra.

I found pakis in History. . .
Despite all these disadvantages, the greatest factor was the betrayal of the Vijaynagara Army by two Muslim commanders (Gilani Brothers). At the critical point of the war, Muslim officers in the Vijayanagara army launched a subversive attack. Suddenly Rama Raya found himself surprised when the two Muslim divisions in his ranks turned against him.[6] The Muslim troops of the Vijaynagara army had opened a vigorous rear attack on the Hindus and captured several artillery positions. Several cannon shells landed near Rama Raya’s elephant and he fell from it as his mount was struck by a cannon shard. Rama Raya tried to recover, but Nizam Shah made a dash to seize him.
These Muslim troops in Vijayanagara Army later became pakis.

There were only 2 Empires in the history of India which dominated the major part of India for more than 200 years.
These were the Maurya Empire and the Rashtrakuta Empire.
Based on this fact the 2 greatest Emperors in Indian history were Ashoka of the Maurya Empire and Amoghavarsha of the Rashtrakuta Empire.
No, Rashtrakutas never domanated Large parts of India, they only Ruled Karnataka, MP, Maharastra and some Tiny Lands in UP.

Only Maurya's , Harsha , Guptas and Peshwas Dominated Large parts of India.

Yep, but irony is satavahan brahmans fought against their own kin Sunga Brahman and this destroyed large parts of their military.

Harsha and the Guptas only ruled parts of northern India. On the other hand the Rashtrakuta Dynasty was the dominant power of India from the 8th to 10th century as their Empire and influence stretched from south to north India which is also mentioned by foreign travelers. There is a reason why the Arabs called the Rashtrakutas as 1 of the 4 great powers of the world and the Emperors of India.

I voted for Chandragupt Maurya for the fact that his story of ascending to power is fascinating. Raja Raja Chola is equally if not more important. He was instrumental in spreading Dharma all the way to Bali if I'm not mistaken. How much does NCERT teach Indian kids about this?

The Chola rulers like Raja Chola and Rajendra Chola are some of the greatest rulers in South Asian history because of their military success and because of their high number of hisorical records. The Chola rulers were the only South Asian rulers who were able to invade huge parts of Southeast Asia. But what make these rulers even more great is the fact that they produced the most detailed and the highest number of historical records than all the other preislamic Indian rulers. The Chola rulers left more historical records than the Mauryas and Guptas combined which is the main reason why we know more about the history of the Chola Dynasty than about the history any other pre-islamic Indian Dynasty.

Friends, you haven't included any king from the northeastern states.

We have had great kings who were great warriors as well in the past.

Requesting you to please add some. :)

In post 1200 period, besides Ahom kings and their generals who out-fought Mughals, Vijaya Manikya of Manikya dynasty could be considered the most powerful king in the NE region. He ruled over Sylhet region, Tippera (now Tripura state in India, Chandpur, Comila in Bangladesh), Noakhali region, Chittagong region. Jaintia kings and chiefs from Lushi hills (now Mizoram) paid tribute to him. He captured Mamarak Khan, general of Bengal sultan, brought him to Tripura capital Rangamati (Udaipur) and sacrificed him to the gods.

mughal empire died due to Aurangzeb, Rajput and Pashtuns.

you see it was only Aurangzeb who alloted large numbers of pashtuns into mughal army and nobility before that mughals used rajputs to counter Afghan influenza (suri).

but in shoort time due to his interference into Marvad succession at lest 30% of His army, Rajput re bailed togather and started a war on mughal empire.

in pashtun area one mughal ooficer raped a pashtun girl and his tribe and fellow tribes started ther own rebellion, other 30% of mughal army , pashtuns also joined this rebellion and to countrt this king sent 40,000 strong mughal army but all massacred by Pashtun tribes.

these 2 blunders and death of 40,000 elite strong men destroyed mughal army. bajro just attacked at the right time.

Chandragupta Maurya is the best one, he was the first ruler of the Mauryan Empire and his children and grandchildren made India one of the world's greatest empires during their time.

I am surprised no one has mentioned Bindusara here. A lot of what Ashoka inherited was actually put together by Bindusara. He ascended the throne at the age of 22 and brought almost the entire peninsula under control, save for the Tamil Kingdoms who had friendly treaties with the Maurya empire.

Samudra Gupta and Vindusara probably most underrated king In Indian history .

Samudra Gupta
Never lose a single war

led invasion in Southern India ,Capture 13 strong southern state from ganjam of Odisa to Cholas of deep south subjugated to him , but instead of taking kingship from respected leaders of those state , he made frienship with them and create a greater economic relation within Indian subcontinent without creating political mess

Made matrimonial alliance with only left major remaining sovereign southern power vakatas to create a de fecto Akhand bharat from khaybar to Pandya rajya in south with only fraction of bloodshed of what Mauryan use.

Trade with Rome and Sassanid was in all time peak by his time ,most prosperous time of Indian history interms of money .

Cultural influence of India reach it's peak . India was true superpower by that time ,we literally capture China and whole east asia with our Buddhism. We even made central asian tribes calm and peaceful with our cultural spectrum .

Hopefully we will reach that stage again

A half tonight.

No space for 'trimurti'? Or was the public's way of saying 'hey look we got them'. This I say due to the temples and idols being shown fire and incense to please their egos, it is like viagra for insulting gods. As luck would have, they were allowed to and still do. You see, most of the monarchs were filled with malace against them and the public they have intermitantly. So they made two faces done for or by personal choice, this after bhasmasur, ravan and boon wishers and the like. Also if these kings were kings they would never speak about what was their inspiration to choose a lifetime to serve the public. Must've been scary for some of their subjects. Lets hope for the best for the budding underground kings in the future to come. Now about the being a king; only a few know, politics and war are not easy if you are a mortal, these three were controlling all of the going on since it all began, from education, warfare and healthcare were all done by them. So I think none after are kings since a king is never steered by his subjects and court. This is my opinion. And dont worry about the cartoon net advertisement for a peculiar show. Of course none would agree. The idea to fuse came and is done only by them and now 4, as we go to the 4 kings of direction, 4th being the jewel of the solar system; after the 2nd largest is the 4th. Lol I know and some of the south park boys will shudder, but its what I know.
Lets hope there are some who dont work or serve these 4, I see most of the hypered doing that all the time. So do I. Dont ask, I wont tell. Playing cards; of course you see. There is was no religion, only immediate positive feelings will do, any where and in time. They gave themselves up for the budding kings.
