Irbis-E isn't AESA, it is PESA. They probably want the same radar going in PAK FA.I think the super sukhoi must include irbis AESA radar and al41 engine both of which make the su35 the best 4th gen fighter today.

BANGALORE: Russia has placed orders worth Rs 65 crore for procuring 34 radar computers for Su-30s of its air force.
"Irkut Corporation of Russia has confirmed purchase of 34 sets each of Radar Computer-I & Radar Computer-II for Russian Air force requirements from HAL with delivery schedule commencing from January 2014 onwards," the premier Indian aerospace PSU said in a release.
"The value of the contract is Rs 65 crore," it said. Radar computers are integrated into Airborne Radar System in Su-30s and are very critical for mission operation of the aircraft," it said.
Till date, a total of 300 of these computers are produced by the HAL for various aircraft programmes of Indian Air Force, Algerian Air force and Russian Airforce through Rosoboronexport.
HAL is in-charge for license-producing the Su-30MKIs for the IAF and has been working towards indigenising several components of the aircraft to reduce dependence on imports for spare parts and other equipment.
Under the Indian programme, more than 190 Su-30MKIs would be produced in Indian facilities in Nashik, which is the HAL hub for manufacturing Russian-origin aircraft.
How can Rafale use MKI radar returns? MKI doesn't have any external data link sharing except with MKI of the same squadron.Russia places Rs 65-crore order for procuring 34 radar computers - Economic Times
If the russia import's sukhoi radar computers from HAl,
it is imperative that sensor fusion nodes of SUKHOI -30 mki to datalink with any IAF fighter whether it be RAFALE or TEJAS or MIG_29 or AWACS is totally in IAF and HAL hands.
So If a large and powerful SUKHOI-30 MKI radar picks up and tracks the target through it's totally indigenous radar computers ,
lesser RCS RAFALES and TEJAS fighters which fly infront can get this information continuously from SUKHOI-30 MKI's data link and launch longer range BVRs .
This is a win win situation for both SUKHOI and other lesser RCS fighters , because even though the opposing fighters can pick up the SUKHOI from longer distances because of it's very large RCS, they can do nothing against them because SUKHOIs flying behind will be out of range of their long range BVRs .
The lesser RAdar powered RAFALES and TEJAS fighters can use the high powered SUKHOI radar as a surrogate without even swithcing on their radars , there by immune to anti radiation missiles of the enemy.
No worry about their lesser powered RADARS being jammed by the enemy.
At the same time for any enemy fighter it will be impossible to jam sukhoi's high powered radar from longer distances.
So SUKHOI-30 MKI used in this way becomes the mini AWACS cum fighter with a deadly load of BVR missiles , and ground attack missiles.
This same strategy was tried out with deadly effect in INDO-US air excercises wit SUKHOI and MIG-21 working as a team.
