Dixie on Instagram: "Iraq 🇮🇶 plans to restart production of Kalashnikov assault rifles, as well as begin production of various Chinese 🇨🇳 small arms… Here is a short video that was filmed by the Republic of Iraq’s Defense Industry Commission (DIC) of a factory complex in Iraq that will likely begin mass producing various small arms with assistance from the People’s Republic of China 🇨🇳 For a few years now, a DIC controlled factory has been assembling the 9mm BM1 “Babylon” pistol in Iraq. This is a licensed copy of the Chinese produced NP42 9x19mm pistol. In the beginning of this video we see an individual fire what appears to be a QCQ-171 (CS/LS7) submachine gun. Further in the video we see more of these submachine guns in the factory. The QCQ-171 is a Chinese domestically designed 9x19mm submachine gun that is select fire and blow back operated. This submachine gun is used by Chinese military and police, as well as exported to other nations. These externally unique submachine guns are likely assembled in Iraq with various Chinese made components. I believe that Algeria also has the rights to produce/assemble the QCQ-171 in their state controlled factories. In this video we also see various M4A1 (CQ-A) & M16A4 style assault rifles, as well as what appear to be newly assembled or produced third generation stamped Type 56-1 7.62x39mm assault rifles/submachine guns. Lastly, there appears to be a few P226 & P228 style pistols show in this video. These are likely clones of the Chinese NP22 & NP34, which itself are P226 & P228 knock offs. Again, these are likely assembled with parts from China."

Meanwhile in Iraq …Here we are still struggling to make Ak203s despite having more than a century old infrastructure

Spoke too soon haha production is going fine it just starts and stops because of licencing issues should be fine anytime now 2 batches delivered as far as I know

What will you get for 200 USD ? A decent Fab defence p rail over receiver alone costs 200 usd plus the kinda folding fab stocks costs the same forget pistol grips and hand guards. even if you take into account the costs in India also making 16K peices etc the price is too low.Again lets wait for what they are going to give back.

15k per kit most probably will mean molded polymer mod

The aircraft grade aluminum alone will cost around 4-6k now add the machining , labor, anodizing cost etc ,there's no way they will achieve it in 15k (not even the handguards and the rail is possible in 15k).
And polymer mods are pretty useless .

There goes another 26 crores down the drain .
