I found the original source of the pictures. They aren’t in service, they’ve been seized by the Assam Rifles from militants/smugglers.

Well it still could be possible that it could've ended up in service. We see lots of Type-56 with FAB kits in service here and what not - and these already have those stuff on them just needs railed top cover for mounting optics etc.

They should restore it back to its original configuration and sell them.

Why ? They are good to go..

Don’t even know if that’s legally allowed for them to do so, if it is legal it’s bound to be a bureaucratic nightmare, I doubt anyone will go through the trouble of doing so. Best idea is to restore it and display it in museums of the armed forces and ordnance factories. As well as use the FAB kits for other existing AKs of the same build type if it already hasn’t been done so.

They can use the same for themselves after properly registering it.

Red dot seems to be an old gen aimpoint.But these had been replaced by M-4s in SSG

well i am not aware about which kits or so but it's very similar to the kind of upgrades we did on our AKs here, i.e. new railed handguards, sometimes top cover with rails and modular buttstock etc.
IN FACT, Porkies DID IT WITH THEIR AKs BEFORE WE STARTED DOING IT HERE WITH OURS, credit where it is due.
they were already sharing info and pics about it around 2010 times in that porki forum and other places while we were even not sure about INSAS replacement leave out upgrading AKs :sigh:
