What weapon model is this? I can't tell if this is G3 or a Springfield SAR-8, this photo is from the Taiwan National Security Bureau Special Service Centre

Which gun? IWI caramel or something like that which was launched alongwith Arad?
Yes, Carmel

They still posts some video about the carmel in youtube as shorts
Hhmm probably still in development or something, or just Zhong Xina's flue ruined its launch

Another interesting rifle that was also showed around same time was that Beretta AR based rifle, rumoured to have ARX style gas piston system on it etc, this too has been mostly forgotten

@hsinchong for the iwi thing to work they'll need to gain some money from citizens by making pistols,i doubt the army would buy carmel but the arad might work in cqb but idk if they're in the competition

There is a pic if bullpop rifle with lpvo and environment looks like Indian
So do we have more pics
Is it right to equip bullpop with lpvo for dmr roles
Any good rifle with decent accuracy can act as a DMR. The problem with bullpups are that military grade bullpups have horrendous trigger.

So ya, a bullpup with LPVO can act as a DMR. But the compromise will be way more than one single benefit; short overall length.

*Chingchong accent* why you say this? Bullpup DMR good and accurate. China Army powerful. Trigger no horrendous and icky. QBU 88 best DMR.

you're accidentally right here, mainly because trigger mechanism on QBU-88 is actually hammer-fired one derived from Kalashnikov, rather than that duplex spring striker fired one (where one spring pushes bolt carrier mainly and a separate co-axial spring just rear to main recoil spring pushes striker while maintaining tension of main spring etc) from QBZ-95,
so trigger pull on it going to be much better than QBZ-95 with more defined break etc, it results in better accuracy...
And of course QBU-88 has gotten a heavier barrel than assault QBZ-95 one, so that also helps in accuracy

at the end it works well for them, with their standard issue 5.8x42mm as well as machine gun heavier variant of same etc,
and they've gotten a new DMR to potentially supplement-replace it with QBU-191 = QBZ-191 based DMR
