The Flanker series has been nicknamed the 'Crane' due to the way the forward fuselage looks from the side. The Flanker series boasts a huge internal fuel capacity, the base models have a range of 1,910 miles on internal fuel alone. You rarely see a Flanker with a fuel tank due to this.
An interesting view from the copilots seat of a Tu-95 Bear, looking at the tanker aircraft, an Il-78M. The Bear already has an impressive range, and air-to-air refueling increases it's range even further. The range of a fully fueled Bear is 9,400 miles, so with aerial refueling, the range is nearly doubled.
