India is an important country and her global influence is bound to grow.
India's new foreign policy doesn't make her any country's ally,
India will not join one block or another.
It will be better for us to keep all our International Relations completely "Transactional"
as described in our new Foreign Policy manual.
I agree that India gains more from doing business with the West but we cannot afford to become it's "tool" against the Emerging China. We have got differences with the western block over a wide range of issues, and we will collaborate with countries having shared interest when that is required.
Our ultimate goal must be hegemony over the Indian Subcontinent and over the Indian Ocean Region. But before that we need to become self-sufficient in advanced technologies and gain economic weight which will take us several decades.
