What changes Pakistani military should expect, post Balakote bombing by India. Even the 26th February Pakistani air raid at command Headquarters at Udhampur was highly unsuccessful with either one or two F-16 shot down by much older MIG -21.

In1971, General Yahaya Khan resigned and handed over power to Julfikar Ali Bhutto and left in disgrace, after a lost military debacle.

With unsuccessful air raid on February 26th and a major loss of terror cadre at Balakote, any chance of General Bajawa the Pakistani military boss claiming victory is nil. He may resign of his own or forced out. The outcome may be that Imran Khan gaining some control over military budgets, policy and most importantly the ISI. These fighter jets were meant to be used, according to Pentagon’s Defense Security and Cooperation Agency (DSCA), to “enhance Pakistan’s ability to conduct counter-insurgency and counterterrorism operations”. DSCA is the department that oversees the sale of US military equipment to foreign governments that are funded partly or wholly by America.

“Many members of Congress, including me, seriously question the judgement and timing of such a sale. Additionally, Indo-Pak tensions remain elevated and some question whether the F-16s could ultimately be used against India or other regional powers, rather than the terrorists as Pakistan as asserted,” Matt Salmon, a Republican member of the House of Representatives, had said at a congressional hearing then.

Didnt we always tell USA that pakistan is using their equipment against India..and pakis will use it against India tho...they buy it saying its for WoT...

The ISI has a very strong ground network in India and especially J&K. I would not put such tactics past them. Also, ISI arming local jihadis with MANPADS in Kashmir is indeed a very scary and a real scenario. The reason given for that Mi-17V5 crash also seems to be sketchy at the movement. The wreckage is raising some suspicions.

They can do it, remember Taliban fighters were armed with stinger manpads in 1970s against Soviet union in Afghanistan by the CIA.

Any conflicts with India has spelt bad omens for Pakistan's civilian leadership. Imran only needs to talk to jailed former PM to find out what's in store for him..... Pak army will never take the blame, they always have a lame duck PM to take the cross....
