In your case, if you not interested in Intel, then stick with AM5. AM4 only good for low/bottom end systems.
There is a lot of plus point for AM5 compared to AM4 except price.
First you need to pick a cpu/apu. it tells you what socket to buy, then you need to pick a chipset, then features, and build quality and etc, mobo is the most important part and very hard to choose. More powerful the cpu/apc its very hard to choose a mobo.
I always give important to asus, with extra warranty [3+2], also msi, asrock etc also having good mobos [inr around 15k to 35k].

I personally ordered CPU, GPU, RAM and PCIe Serial Port Cards. Never faced an issue.
Most major brand honor Amazon Invoice.

I agree, unless you are building commercial software benchmarks mean nothing. There are few that are more real world'ish though but even then you need good amount of cooling otherwise guaranteed your board and processor would fry sooner

I had mixed experience with asus but they are ok and also asrock. Make sure powersupply is a good one and have a good UPS and decent fans and well vented tower .

Currently none. My motherboard got damaged. Previously I used GTX960.
Now I am using A320 motherboard with Ryzen 3200.
I am planning to upgrade by rig with Ryzen 7000 series and RTX4070/4080.

motherboard depends on processor, so which Ryzen 9 processor ? want wifi ? m.2 raid ? dual gpu ?
Ryzen 9 processor are top high end cpu/apu, need high end mobo[inr above 12k to 80k depends on your need]

Also rich can consider most expensive one MSI MPG X570S Carbon EK X Gaming Motherboard.

Asus may be/mostly, rest depend on international warranty & support/repair centre, most of the time - cash back with or with out a new one.

ASrock & asus both are good compared to others in med-high end mobo.
Asrock - value for money, asus- overall/best . asus experience is mixed due to their under capability, a large portion on Indians depends on asus [phone/mobo/display/input device etc etc from bottom end to super premium level] Asus make mobo ranging below 6k to above 80k/1l and top market - India

Now a days no one consider dual gpu except miniers, ai based 3d design, 3d server etc. Better to buy a extreme end gpu than dual gpu. low cost dual gpu works on half bus speed, and single gpu is better than dual in this case.
cheapest mobo can't fully support 7900 and cause issue with 7950x, and cheapest mobo which fully support cost around 25k and dual gpu cost around 30k. Mobo cost around 35k[best] to 80k [extreme] for 7900/7950x, now threadripper cost around 45k to above 1l.

B650 for r5/r7, less expensive 10k

Mobo & cpu just the first part, then atx[4000], cooler[5500], smps[7k to 12k modular], ups, ssd [5k to 20k] list goes on.
In simple if i3 gaming system cost x, then i5 - 2x. i7 - 4/5x, i9 - 6.5/8/10x.

I meant cheapest mobo which would support, not just cheapest mobo... For motherboard, I am expecting around 30k to spend. Yes, would need high end 1200W or more psu, water cooling, Liquid cooler for processor and all the stuff... Yes, I am looking at X670 for now, will see which best supports in the cheapest price among them.. There are many variants in X670 too.

Threadripper and A100/A6000 is way too high in price, lol. I am not even thinking about that...
