South Africa, just before 1991 was on verge on going nuke (capability was there for quite some time & intent was also displayed).Has any nation, once having obtained nuclear weapons, ever given them up?
Do you know how many will die of hunger if India starts an arms race? The USSR could not sustain the arms race. If India were to seriously start one, Pak will not e able to keep pace.
South Africa!Has any nation, once having obtained nuclear weapons, ever given them up?
Now India precieves the whole world as it's enemy?India will remain nuclear as long world remains nuclear.
Dream On !UN with US as the lead country is going to take away all the Pakitani nukes.
Not too many more in India than who already do and Indian economic growth will make sure the number of hungry come down. But yes I can't say the same about Pak and I guess you guys also won't hungry as you are adept in eating grass. Unless off course India turns the water tap off and your grass also dried upDo you know how many will die of hunger if India starts an arms race?
South Africa!
Now India precieves the whole world as it's enemy?
Soviet Union spent 40 percent of their GDP on military/ defense infrastructure unsustainableThe fact remains that the world's largest nuclear stockpile did not prevent Soviet Union's implosion. Pakistan does not realize that the immediate threat for Pakistan is internal.
Officially for the record south Africa.Has any nation, once having obtained nuclear weapons, ever given them up?
5 kilotons capability is not impressive maybe to iran's 1 kilotons and North Korea 2 kilotonA few years ago Pakistani leaders used to show off about how advanced the Pakistani space program was with SUPARI-CO. Not hearing much of that now. Wonder how many years it will take to find out that the nukes are also duds?
India is the largest heavy water / tritium producer in the world with the fastest productionInteresting piece of history to underscore the importance of Heavy Water.

Nuclear hostility and blackmail can be good premise for indus water treaty revocation. We would love to see Pakistan make nukes bcoz with each nuke they will have to spend ten times the cost of production in maintaining and safe guarding them. In the end they will collapse like USSR. We want that to happen. It is happening at even rapid pace. Pak does not have money to buy new weapons or to upgrade its conventional weapons. So it is making more nukes in the false hope that nukes will save them from India and they can continue doing what they want in India.
In May 1998, India and Pak did nuke tests. PA thought that now with demonstrated nuke ability they can do Kargil and India will not retaliate due to the nukes of PA.
What Happened? We hammered the hell out of them in 1999 Kargil war. Thr nukes cud not save them or subdue India in any manner.
Same happened in 2008, Indian Armed forces were ready to retaliate with full force but GOI backed out. PA must realise that while they have subverted thr constitution, Indian armed forces have always worked within the Indian constitutional framework and they are now getting increasingly frustrated with the civilian leadership of India.
USA does not view pakistan as a true nuclear national AQ khan would not have been safe if this was theUN with US as the lead country is going to take away all the Pakitani nukes.
true, but they have planned it.Dream On !
They havent till now!
You forget the Dassault Mirage ROSE and JF-17 Block 2 *should* be able to deliver nukes. Not to mention their BM's.USA does not view pakistan as a true nuclear national AQ khan would not have been safe if this was the
Case. Pakistan also has limited delivery systems:
1) subsonic missiles with limited range all 1940.scud based desings
2)f16 where usa has most likely placed kill switches.
SCUDS were developed by Russians in ww2 against Germans. All planes and missiles are easilyYou forget the Dassault Mirage ROSE and JF-17 Block 2 *should* be able to deliver nukes. Not to mention their BM's.
Scud was 50's design. And it isn't similar in anyway to Pak missiles other than the fact that it is a missile.
Pakistani's has 10 kilotons capability all fissiematerialin pakistan is estimated arrival 100 kilotonswith the addition of tritium pak today is now capable of warheads with yield upto megatons
i dont consider anything below a megaton as a nuclear warhead.
Pak spends 2.5billions on nuclear program per year while India slightly less than 5billions
