Sensational news is MUCH MUCH better than not reporting at all. But that's a speciality in countries like China,Pakistan and North Korea where TRUTH is not reported and state sponsered LIES are aired and conspiracy creators are having booming business brainwashing their masses.I would describe this as an example of sensational reporting, a common practice in not just Pakistan but also in India. To exaggerate is very much a common trait of all south asians.
From the Persian gulf, yes. That's the only way you can fly to Afghanistan from a carrier. The other way is to fly over Iran.i have question, as of now is US using Pakistani airspace to fly to Afghanistan ???
According to highly informed diplomatic sources in Islamabad, the US has already explored several alternative supply routes for the international forces stationed in Afghanistan in the wake of an increasing number of attacks on NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) convoys travelling through Pakistan, coupled with a frequent suspension of the supply routes by the Pakistani authorities. Pakistan currently receives a huge reimbursement of economic and military assistance from the United States for providing these logistical facilities to the war-torn country. The NATO/ISAF convoys travelling through Pakistan are the principal source of logistical support for coalition forces. Pakistan, being the shortest and most economical route, has been used for nearly a decade to transit almost 75% of ammunition, vehicles, foodstuff and around 50% of fuel for coalition forces fighting the Taliban militia in Afghanistan.
The Chinese do not want pakistan loose their only bargaining chipWhat abt this supply route > discharge at Liyungang Port of East China, connect onto rail land-bridge to Xinjiang then through Wakhan Corridor to Afghanistan.
But that would involve US-China cooperation to the detriment of Pakistan!!! Is that possible as of today? What abt this supply route > discharge at Liyungang Port of East China, connect onto rail land-bridge to Xinjiang then through Wakhan Corridor to Afghanistan.
That is not alternate route! It will be from central asia to afghanistan. There is one more alternative.
Turkey --> Armenia --> Azerbaijan --> Turkmenistan --> A'than. (bit long and expensive but only possibility)
Iran route is best beside Pakistan but that is not possible.
China route is not possible due to difficult terrain, very long distance and also China won't allow too. Indeed, Even if China allows Turkey-A'than route would be far better.
There is no other option.
It is the Northern Route. It was on the cards all along. There is one more alternative.

NATO Opens Northern Supply Route To AfghanistanNATO has opened an alternate supply route to its troops in Afghanistan across Russia and Central Asia. Most NATO supplies enter Afghanistan through Pakistan, but the route has come under increasing attacks by militants in the border region, and NATO has been negotiating alternate routes for months.
The alliance said in a statement today that a trainload of supplies for its 122,000-strong force arrived in Afghanistan on June 9, traveling via Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan for the first time. The shipment consisted of construction materials and food supplies.
If thing get bad USA can just threaten to nuke the whole area and call it a day.
Do not silly. All fallout will reach Indian Punjab and Kashmir making the fertile land useless and many thousand deaths.Oh, I wish.
