Seven Pakistani soldiers were killed during heavy shelling in the Bhimber sector along the LoC on Sunday , the largest number of army casualties Islamabad has conceded in a long time. The admission was followed by the Pakistan foreign office summoning Indian high commissioner Gautam Bambawale to protest against “ceasefire violations“, denied subsequently by Indian authorities.

“Seven soldiers were killed at LoC in Bhimber sector in ceasefire violation by Indian troops late last night,“ Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan army's media wing, said in a statement.

“The foreign secretary condemns the unprovoked ceasefire violation by the Indian forces on the LoC, resulting in the killing of seven Pakistani soldiers, in Bhimber area,“ the foreign office said.

Foreign secretary Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry asked Bambawale to convey to his government that it must stop the firing and observe ceasefire.“Pakistan is pursuing a policy of restraint, which should not be construed as a sign of weakness,“ Chaudhry was quoted as saying by the foreign office.

Radio Pakistan quoted defence minister Khwaja Asif as saying, “India was heating the situation up along the LoC and working boundary due to internal compulsions.“ Official spokesman Nafees Zakaria said, “India must stop all ceasefire violations and avoid targeting residents along the LoC.... We reserve the right to respond befittingly to Indian aggression.“

Army chief, General Raheel Sharif, attended the funeral prayers of the soldiers at Jhelum. “We will continue to respond effectively and leave no stone unturned to defend the motherland,“ Gen Sharif was quoted by ISPR as saying.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, condemning killings, said, “We are fully capable of defending our soil against any aggression. The Indian forces have resorted to escalating tension on LoC only to distract the world's attention from the grave human rights situation in Indian-held Kashmir.“

Sharif claimed that the Indian forces have inflicted “unspeakable atrocities“ against people of Kashmir. “There's an indigenous uprising against Indian occupation, and the Indian government is failing to read the writing on the wall,“ the PM said. According to the foreign office, at least 26 civilians have been killed and 107 wounded in the last two months due to firing and shelling of Indian troops.

That's the best fukin news I've heard today!! :)

Actually there may have been more than a a couple of dozen Porkis sent to 'jannat' but the ISPR will never admit it due to loss of morale among the rank and file of the Paki Army, Jihadis and the Pakis in general.

Well done Indian Army! Keep screwing them till the cows come home!!

Cheers!
