Not really ... not many anti-russia ... almost everyone is pro russia.
There is a small anti-Corporate anti america lobby. Most people don't care about them.

That maybe true for other States, but for India , we have strong business community in USA so strong economic linkages.

With Russia, friendship , they did help in times of peril and we Indians will never forget that.

That's why we have good relations with both:)

Anyway , we Indian are not planning for some global ambitions, but will like to equip ourselves to tackle any future condition that might crept in .

Bro. That is not how we built our relationship with USA. we never expect anything from them and never let them think they can take us for granted. They already know....and the whole world knows that we will not go against russia. Its simply not possible. Washington already knows our answer. Worst case in a US vs Russia was we stand aside.

Your statement is incorrect. The largest number of socialists is in Europe.

India, France sign MoU for Six Nuclear Reactors

AREVA NP may be the lead participant in the project, AREVA's key area of activity is the development & construction of Nuclear power plants and research reactors. Pictured above is a scale model of a AREVA's Nuclear Reactors

NEW DELHI: India and France have signed an MoU for the construction of six nuclear reactors at Jaitapur in Maharashtra. Development happened nearly two months after the two countries decided to conclude the negotiations for the project by the year end. According to sources, the pact was inked on Tuesday at the end of the two-day visit of a high-level delegation of Electricite de France (EDF - French public utility) to Mumbai for holding discussions with the National Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) on the construction of the plants.

French Ambassador to India Francois Richier, who was present on the occasion, reiterated his country’s commitment to work seamlessly with India through a collaborative approach to enable both sides to contribute collectively to the development of nuclear energy in India in the most economical manner. The EDF visit was a follow-up on the State Visit of French President Francois Hollande to India in January, during which France and India drew up a cooperation roadmap for concluding techno-commercial negotiations for the Jaitapur project by the end of 2016.

It may be recalled that, on this occasion, Modi and Hollande welcomed the initialising of an updated MoU between EDF and NPCIL for the construction of six EPR units at Jaitapur. This updated MoU was formally signed by EDF and NPCIL on 22nd of March,” the sources said.

Government to set up nuclear plants in North India

The government is exploring avenues to expand nuclear energy programme and set up plants in north India, including in Uttarakhand, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, the Lok Sabha was informed on Wednesday.
Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office Jitendra Singh told the Lok Sabha during the question hour that the government is serious about nuclear energy programmes but is also committed to ensure maintaining their safety standards.
The minister said the government is planning to set up plants in north India as "something like that has been lacking in the region".
Such nuclear power plants could come up in states like Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab, he said.
"However, there are also issues, as basic requirements like water and land have to be made available".
Replying to supplementary questions from Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi on the leak in unit one of Kakrapar atomic power station in Gujarat, the minister said the incident in the plant was "more of an anomaly" and thus could be called an "incident" and not an accident per se.
"I am not saying this, the international standard of measurement of accidents is saying so," he said and suggested that "there was no need for being an alarmist" on the issue.
Gogoi, however, said the government needs to draw lessons from such incidents as small incidents are only indications of "potential accidents".
The minister countered him by saying things are taken seriously and already two committees -- one by Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) and the other by Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. (NPCIL) -- are probing the incident.
"The investigation to identify the leak has been taken up by Nuclear Power Corporation Ltd and Atomic Energy Regulatory Board. As per the prevailing practice, the lessons and recommendations that would emerge from the investigation would be suitably incorporated," he said.
On March 11, a leak detected from the coolant system in the Kakrapar Atomic Power station (KAPS), an indigenously built Pressurised Heavy Water Reactor (PHWR).
It was commissioned in May 1993 with a capacity of 220 MW.
The plant generates about 4 per cent of country's nuclear power.
