What is the joke? Do you have something to add or are you that desperate for attention? Move along and stop spamming you know nothing about this aircraft and your opinions are not important.

The joke here is there is so much talk about capabilities of this mockup... So much dissection and praise for a hollow full sized model.

Russophiles are in desperate need of a comeback kid...

Where is talk of capabilities, who is talking? Most people here are only discussing the aircraft’s size, price, engines, payload and export potential, much of which has been confirmed by the manufacturers anyways. The things relating to cost, size and so fourth are basic things aviation enthusiasts talk about every time a new aircraft is unveiled, so what is your problem?

Probably you didn’t bother reading more then a single page and are simply exhibiting jealous impulses. The closest thing to “capabilities” that people, mentioned was the aircraft’s V-tail, or ruddervator and the things said were: ruddervators reduce RCS and weight. There is zero debate here. Those are hard facts. Ruddervators will simply have lower RCS because the corner reflectors from horizontal stabilizers are eliminated, you have less moving control surfaces, you eliminate rudders, have less discontinuities and less distractive interferes by eliminating more control surfaces.

Sukhoi officially also just gave some very basic parameters that they designed the aircraft to have such as range, payload and speed again this is not up for debate either since it’s very realistic numbers that come from the manufacturer.

Firstly I’m 35 years old and certainly not a “kid”, secondly you are desperately starving for attention; like I said earlier you are exhibiting jealous impulses much like your friend @Wisemarko. Why claim certain things were said when you clearly never bothered reading the thread in question or researching the manufacturers specs? Just like the other guy your opinions are worthless and not even grounded in reality. The joke is that you are more delusional then the mostly imaginary people you claim are making claims in your head :rotfl:

There are a lot of capabilities and features talk here from several members.

As to the kid reference, I was not referring to you, I was referring to Russopiles in general.

The new Russian fighter LTS will be assembled at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant
entry is in top1000 rating

As reported on July 28, 2021 by the Interfax news agency, a new fifth-generation Checkmate single-engine fighter will be assembled at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Y. A. Gagarin (KnAAZ), which is a branch of PJSC Sukhoi Company. Director General of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) Yury Slyusar told Interfax about it.

Presented at the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2021 in Zhukovsky, the first full-size aircraft demonstrator of technologies of the Russian promising light single-engine fighter of the fifth generation under the commercial name Checkmate, developed by PJSC Sukhoi Company (as part of JSC United Aircraft Corporation) under the LTS program ("Light tactical aircraft"), 20.07.2021 (c) Sergey Karpukhin / TASS

"Checkmate will be collected here," Slyusar confirmed to the agency.

From the materials for the visit of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin to the enterprise, it follows that KnAAZ has already begun work on the creation of the first prototype of a fighter for static tests. On Wednesday [July 28], the head of government inspected the KnAAZ workshops.

The materials mention that in 2021, the first full-size aircraft demonstrator of the technologies of the promising single-engine fighter Checkmate was assembled at KnAAZ, which became the main novelty of the MAKS-2021 air show that took place in Zhukovsky. Now the main focus of KnAAZ's work is the construction of fifth-generation Su-57 aircraft and Su-35S generation 4 ++ multifunctional fighters.

Mishustin examined the assembly shops for the production of these military aircraft, climbed into the cockpits of the fighters, and talked with the test pilots. In the final assembly shop, the head of government talked with interns - students of the Moscow Aviation Institute.

The new Sukhoi fighter Checkmate was presented on July 20 at the MAKS-2021 air show. It is planned that the plane will take off in 2023, and serial deliveries will begin in 2026. In the future, a two-seat and unmanned version will be created on the basis of a light tactical aircraft (LTS).

According to the developers, Checkmate will be able to travel up to 3 thousand km, accelerate to two speeds of sound and carry 7400 kg of combat load. It will be able to simultaneously attack up to six air, sea and ground targets, including attack drones and foreign fifth-generation aircraft.

The head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, estimated the cost of the new aircraft at $ 25-30 million. To reduce the cost, Checkmate will be unified with the Su-35 and Su-57 fighters, noted the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.

The volume of deliveries of the fighter for the next 15 years is estimated at 300 aircraft. It should compete with the American F-35 Lightning II and the Swedish JAS-39 Gripen. First of all, the aircraft will be export-oriented, but the developers are counting on the order of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Foreign funding would be rare except from some South East Asian or a few gulf nations. Hard luck for the ruskees.

How many units will UAE buy, 50-100? That will not break even development cost.
