this is very dangerous strategy.. they dont shoot any civilians, but gunmen couldnt fire at people.....

Raipur: At least 22 Maoists have been killed in two separate encounters with central security forces in in Chhattisgarh. The bodies of 16 Maoists have been found; two of them, who sustained injuries, have also been captured.

The numbers of CAPF has far exceeded the strength of Infantry Battalions (primary used for CI / CT tasks). Raised over last ten years and still under raising, these battalions are meant for and are being paid for the government for anti Naxal operations and internal security. Still there is demand from MHA to use Army !! why and where is the logic. You are spending billions on CRPF for anti Naxal operations but demanding Army should do it. That is illogical.

If CRPF is not fit to carry out the task then train them and kick their butts.

CRPF - 221 Battalions
BSF - 163 Battalions
CISF - 319 Battalions
ITBP - 40 Battalions
SSB - 49 Battalions
Total - 792 Battalions or about 900, 000 men under arms.

Give this man power and money to the Army and then make them responsible for anti Naxal operations. Army's hands, are I think, full in North East and J&K as also on borders.

The Best way out is Militarization of These forces with parallel induction of Army personnels including officers after minimum five years Service in the Army.

There is no other way for this 50 percent reservation Forces and 60 years age Service.

How can a fifty plus age constable already super-ceded by SC/ ST/ OBC constables fight Naxals (16 plus age) in Bastar ?? These guys have always weilded Dandas. How can they suddenly become super fighters wielding Tavors and Barrettas ??

Recruit all Salva Jadoom and Maoist into CRPF (50 percent resrvation quota) and retire any one over 50 from active duty. Send anyone over 45 to CISF and transfer young blood from BSF and CISF into CRPF.

Abolish CRPF officer cadre and induct Short Service commission officers of Armed Forces into CRPF. Dy Comdt and Astt Comdts in CRPF should be min ten years of service.

One does not need Lab to test Claymore mines and booby traps but a safe test and firing area. The most dangerous thing and area of concern would be IED manufacturing or assembling safe havens inside jungles. They seem to be working on Tipu Sultan types of rockets inside the jungle. Let us see what does the Naxal DRDO does. But being the users themselves they would do a better job.

Then CPOs can import weapons from them including modified INSAS which would be firing fully auto and AK series which would fire three round burst. That can be done by a cycle repairer. Only changes in the shape of share is required to be filed. But it would be big achievement for OFB people.

People from DRDO will be sent to Abujamad Forests for MTech !
