Navy wants mk2 with more power (f414) and more fuel for more range.But hasn't the previous Naval chief rejected NLCA and rather stated that they are only interested in Mk-2 version.
So will NLCA enter service or will it be used for technology validation which will eventually see its way in Mk-2 version?
So mk1 as of now is just tech demonstrator. But navy might keep its twin seater version as shore based training squadron. Which will help naval piolets train for carriers.
