Agni 1 is 700 kms. Why 2000 kms notam ? It looks more likely to be nirbhay with new manik engine. They will probably test it's maximum range in ideal conditions and check engine parameters.

There is always area given for safety clearence . But A1 with 750 km range will not require 2000km warning area .

Shape of notam area doesnot match with earlier nirbhay tests .... This one looks more like a BM test .

When are they going to test the Pralay and the AD-1 /2.

I have waited patiently for the AD series tests but nothing so far.

For AD1/2, I think we would have to wait for the upcoming test range at Nicobar and the floating test range.
As of now we could see some more tests of AAD to validate the seeker tech and flight control.

That would be an intercept test.

Before that the missile needs to be tested to validate aerodynamics airframe strength and guidance. Once the soundness of the design has been proved, then intercept tests can commence.

You do not have a brand new unproven missile intercept a target ballistic missile in its first test flight.

It will remains to be seen, how much further it went to be even considered for ASAT test.................. We have all the building block for the tech, we need to test it, ASAP.

That's why I mentioned this second part.

Besides guidance and seeker tech you need to validate the structural strength and the aerodynamics of the missile. So we need to test the AD-1 / 2 missile itself.

And AAD and PDV are operatnl
