From Sidhharth MP
#ISRO official told me: Various efforts on to increase #LVM3 payload

CE20 thrust increased from ~19 tons to 21.8 tons by using 32tons of fuel, instead of 28t & increasing fuel flow rate

SC120 devpmnt underway

Currently, LVM3 can lift 4.5t to GTO & 10.65t to LEO @ISRO #india

@Vamsi So what are the chances of throwing PRATUSH telescope to moon along with Chandryaan-3 since LVM3 would have a good room after loading a 2.8 tonnes spacecraft?

Actual plan was to host Pratush Tech Demo payload on Propulsion Module, but it was cancelled later. Current status is unknown.

@Indx TechStyle @Swesh as per the reddit user u/Galacticnemesis 1st SCE-200's Pressure Head Test Article (PHTA) is actually ready now, it's waiting for Test stand to be ready, which will take atleast 3-4 months, So we can expect 1st static test in 2nd half of 2023

It will be followed by Integrated Engine IE-1,which will be followed by IE-2 ,which be followed by IE-3 ,which will be integrated to SC120 & then tested, IE-3 will be followed by IE-4, which will be used in the 1st launch of LVM3-SC...From this I expect 1st launch will be no later than 2026.

Also note that Semi-cryo test facility can only test upto SC-160 stage, it cannot be used for Clustered SCE-200 & SC-400, for that an entire new test facility is required.

It seems our folks at ISRO never learns from the past .....they are repeating the same mistake that happened during Vikas engine development. After this I won't expect NGLV to be ready untill late 2030s if not early 2040s
