I'm not going to waste my time satisfying your unreasonable demands.
I guess I posted my last post too soon lol

getting upset at being questioned about your declarations is a sign of lying and lack of confidence.

The cover of the July 31 issue of the India Today magazine has gone viral in China. The cover that has a map of China in the shape of a large chicken also has a smaller Pakistan by its side, again in the shape of a chick, in green.

The Chinese are fuming seeing the cover. Their main contention is that the map on the cover doesn't show Tibet and Taiwan as its part.

on the other side
comments of Taiwanese netizens, who were glad to see the new map. Sample these:

"This is the correct version of the map."

"India has finally done a positive thing that the world can look up to."

"China really gets worked up if there's no Taiwan."

"Come and eat Indian curry today."

"That's a good cover, why not buy one?"

Anything to needle Chinese leaders and their spoiled brat of public opinion. Public reacted to what initially Chinese leaders told them. Now they are finding hard to contain them. On the other hand India was slow to react to the huge PR job China was doing internally. Now they have woken up and responding in a less noisy way.

Well done India Today.

Winnie the Pooh is now banned in China for resembling President Xi Jinping

Featuring Obama, too.
AFP/Weibo
Chinese President Xi Jinping looks too much like Winnie the Pooh, apparently, so the regime had to go ahead and ban any mentions of the big yellow bear on the internet, according toBBC News. GIFs of Winnie the Pooh have been deleted off China’s instant messaging app WeChat, and trying to compose a message mentioning the bear will grant you an error message.

Like Xi, Pooh has a rotund face and nose, and netizens have been taking split-screen pics of the two making similar poses, including one of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe shaking hands with Xi looking downtrodden. Abe’s sad eyes and hairstyle even look like Eeyore, too.

What about this photo of Xi in a car?

EMPICS
Generally in China, people are not allowed to make fun of Chinese leaders — that includes on the internet, which faces constant censorship. In response to censorship, netizens develop hidden messages and slang to circumvent authorities, in addition to investing in VPNs to counter the firewall. It makes for hilarious fodder, sometimes, despite the darker underlying human rights issues at hand.

Chinese social media users were angered by an Indian magazine cover showing a map of China without Tibet or Taiwan, heightening the tension between the regional powers amid a protracted border dispute.

The revised map of China on the cover of the July 31 issue of India Today sparked patriotic backlash from China’s online users, many of whom used strong language to denounce both the magazine and India as a whole.

To illustrate its cover story, “China’s New Chick”, about growing Chinese investments in Pakistan and the resulting concern for India, the magazine used a map of China shaped as a large chicken and Pakistan as a smaller chick.

Each map had the respective country’s flag on it.

But Chinese netizens griped over the exclusion of Taiwan and Tibet from China’s map. The Chinese government claims sovereignty over both places, considering Taiwan a renegade province and Tibet an autonomous region, but there are long-standing political tensions over the government’s control of these areas.

“No one wants to read your bad magazine,” one Shanghai-based user wrote.

“Tibet is a part of China. India can’t just change this with one small action,” another commenter said.

“India will never be a strong country because people in its country do such immature things,” a Guangzhou-based commenter wrote.

But China’s foreign ministry dismissed the controversy. In response to a reporter’s question about the contentious cover, spokesman Lu Kang responded: “You’re taking this ‘little trick’ seriously? Next question.”

Controversy over the magazine cover comes amid an escalating row between China and India over the disputed Doklam border area in the Himalayas.

Tensions between the two Asian rivals have been described as “the worst in 30 years”. India’s national security adviser arrived in Beijing on Wednesday for a meeting during which representatives from both countries are expected to address the military standoff along the border.

While India Today did not address the political sensitivities of its cover, it said in a press release on its website that its cover photos and illustrations have “consistently pushed the boundaries of creativity and never disappointed its readers”.
