Also Tejas was fighting out of its category in LIFT-primary competition.

Also just few years back over Article-370 issue, Malaysia under Mahatir was creating Caliphate triad with Imrand and Erdog , that can also be reason .
Malaysia already has a long standing defence partnership with RoK whereas we're just commencing our journey in this matter plus under the table stuff works wonders.

Have you guys noticed something. Mudiji's Tejas trip was atleast 35 mins long. (Some say 45 some 30).
Considering that for safety 10-15 mins of backup fuel was kept intact, That too in a trainer jet(in which some fuel compromise were made), we can safely assume that Tejas with 2 .6T (3xfuel tanks) can easily fly for 100 minutes.

now add some A2A Missiles and we got a really potent fight that can do CAP operations for 1.2 hour.
Nah na.. clean config (mostly) level flight, barely any combat manoeuvres. Shouldn't calculate estimates from that.

not a fair comparison, Tejas has better thrust to weight and delta wing better overall design and engine.
I am just wondering how much of a beast Tejas MK2 will be with 414 engine with canards 😄
MWF is a great design. 1 TON higher MTOW than Gripen NG is testimony to that. Designers say that It will be able to super cruise and will have a very high maneuverability. IR Sensor, Top of the line AESA and other electronics etc. make it at par with GRIPEN NG in other aspects but so far as weapons are concern, It will have a great choice which no other fighter has in the world. It will have a choice of Indian, Israeli, European as well as Russian weapons which no other fighter has in the world.

still tejas mark 1 nd 1a hv less than 1 thurst to weight ratio with full weapon load...it uses 85 KN thrust from GE F404 IN 20 engine. some says its a 90 KN engine, but not found source anywhere. ideally we should equip it with more powerful engine like 98 KN GE F414 engine. some will say its size is bigger nd little heavy, but we should leave some space in tejas to equip even little bigger engine during designing. tejas mark 2 should be equip with 110-116 KN upgraded GE F414. but to save some money, we go for that system that can just manage our needs. but we should prefer those system which can even deal with future needs. suppose we develop our own laser pods or even more powerful radars nd computer etc,,, than additional thurst helpful for future needs also.
No, Wnat we need is aerodynamic Improvement and weight reduction. Gripen C does super cruising with same engine.

No fighter ever goes MTOW, that numbers are achieved putting heavy load on wings.
That numbers are basically brought using stress testing without breaking the wings.
Optimum strike and air defence configurations are used to calculate the real TWR and Tejas MK1 has one of the best TWR in the game and more than 1.

“Tejas if we stand vertically and even cut its wings it has TWR to launch like a rocket” … IAF is this much satisfied with 404 engines.
It is much more efficient than ruski oil sucking engines and provide sustained dry thrust and better minutes in after burning mode(8 min MKI vs 14 min)
One popular measure of T/W ratio is with half tank fuel load with 4 bvr.

its almost impossible to reverse engineer metallurgy of an alloy … it might take more time to understand the configuration and cooking than coming up with your own alloys for engine core…
In making of alloy components of engine, forging technique is most important. Anybody can analyze the components and mix in that ratio but controlled forging is not everybody's cup of tea.

GaN Uttam in development i guess. is there any official indication it is under testing or so?
Yes, There were article on the same. One of the scientist involved said that it will be able to detect stealth as well.

This one is different, it's the Radar for Netra AEW&CS.

However you are right UTTAM is a scalable radar
Putting TR module is not difficult. You can put according to space available in Nose cone. One with more TR module is consider for Super MKI program as well. What you need in addition is higher power availability and cooling requirement.

Why would anyone buy Grippen C when US was selling F16 like hotcake to literally everyone for small extra chage.

For 5000kg fuel ferry range stats seem to be fine.
Small extra Charge? What is the cost of both the aircrafts. Do you have fighures?

These Shitty nations consider India and Isreal enemy because of the teaching of their Holy book. BD is also same. They bought Railway engines from Korea which did not start because of serious issues. The engines India gifted to BD runs for years. We should sale our stuff elsewhere and let them get shit out of wherever available. Let them buy costly trainsets and shit weapons from elsewhere and cry later on.

Too long to watch. Summary please!!
On the technical front he explains about what unstable configuration really is, how delta wings are useful in low speed high AoA. On the operational capability side he mentioned even though Tejas is contemporary tech wise, the combat range, payload is limited but has its uses in combination of platforms and also in mountain flying. On further advancements, kaveri will be integrated and exports should be the focus for achieving higher levels of indigenization. Research agency and production agency ideally should be under one roof and in his opinion Tejas in higher numbers is much better than having very high end fighters like rafale in fewer numbers. Also many tit bits on mirages which he used to fly did not have as much redundancies as Tejas, mig's pneumatic braking problems, Tejas far ahead of j-17

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari says, "It is indeed a landmark event that the approval has been given for procurement of 97 additional LCA mark 1A. You are aware that we had signed a contract for 83 LCA mark 1As, the deliveries for which are to start shortly in the next few months. We already had 40 LCAs of the original IOC and FOC version. So with this, in the long run, the strength of the Indian Air Force will grow to 220 LCA mark 1As, which will equip almost ten squadrons of the Air Force. With the winding down of the MiG 21 and the MiG 27 and 23 fleets in the past, this is an ideal fit to replace the depleting strength. It's a very capable and potent aircraft and it gives our trust in the Indian defence industry capabilities. It shows that we firmly are committed towards Atmanirbhar Bharat and ensuring that a large number of our items on our inventory are made in India."

97 TEJAS JETS, 150 HELICOPTERS: DAC CLEARS PROCUREMENT OF RS 2.23 LAKH CRORE DEFENCE EQUIPMENT FROM DOMESTIC FIRMS
Defence officials said on Thursday that 97 Tejas Light Combat Aircraft for the Indian Air Force were acquired at a cost of around ₹65,000 crore

In a big boost to India's defence system, the Centre approved the procurement an additional batch of 97 TEJAS light combat aircraft and 156 Prachand helicopters on Thursday. “The move is aimed at boosting the overall combat capability of the armed forces," official sources were quoted by PTI as saying.

Defence officials said the TEJAS fighter jets cost around ₹65,000 crore. "Today, the defence ministry has cleared the proposal for the acquisition of 97 TEJAS MK-1A fighter jets for the Indian Air Force at a cost of around ₹65,000 crore," officials were quoted by ANI as saying.

Besides this, the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), headed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, also cleared a proposal of the Indian Air Force to upgrade its Su-30MKI fighter fleet, sources said.

These proposals are worth ₹1.6 lakh crore and are indigenous projects," defence officials said. Meanwhile, PTI reported that these mega procurement projects and the Su-30MKI upgrade program are expected to cost the exchequer ₹1.3 lakh crore.

The defence ministry is expected to provide the details of the projects cleared by the DAC soon.

Meanwhile, on November 28, top government sources had told PTI that the Defence Procurement Board (DPB) has accorded in-principle approval to the ambitious proposal signalling the government's readiness to go for the second indigenous aircraft carrier, to be known as IAC-II.

The Indian Naval Force has been making a strong push for having the IAC-II with a displacement of 45,000 tonnes which is estimated to cost close to ₹40,000 crore with the envisaged specifications.

India's first indigenously-built aircraft carrier INS Vikrant (IAC-I) was commissioned in September by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Sources said the IAC II will be kind of a repeat order of the IAC-I. According to the plan, the IAC-II will be built by state-run Cochin Shipyard.
