It was rafale which performed a recent top gun type maneuver which Tom cruise did while demonstrating the feasibility of mission and after sometime tejas seem to be performing together and also performing the same maneuver
This being captain by a person on hill and aircrafts were damn closer to the hil

Yup, the second fighter is a Tejas Mk1. Darker grey camo, no canards and the big compound delta wing

Very confusing, the way in which he's written it.

To me, it appears that he's stating the following:

- 16 new build Tejas Mk1A fighters are to be delivered to the IAF by March 2025 as per the contract and HAL is confident that they will be delivered
- 5 Tejas Mk1 twin seat trainers have been delivered out of the 8 that were contracted in batches of 4 (IOC contract) and 4 (FOC contract)
- 3 more Tejas Mk1 twin seat trainers are to be delivered to the IAF and those will be delivered soon
- 1 Tejas Mk1 fighter is yet to be delivered to the IAF- most likely the one that is being used as a Tejas Mk1A prototype
- 5 major upgrades were to be done as part of the Tejas Mk1A program- AESA radar, AESA SPJ, new mission computer, maintainability improvements and twin ASRAAM missiles.
- the 18 Tejas Mk1 IOC fighters from No.45 squadron will also be upgraded with the in-flight refueling probes.

These fellows get access to HAL's assembly line and top leadership and still manage to come out with thoroughly confusing and poorly written articles. So much can be easily cleared up if the person is asking the right questions.

From what I understand all Mk-1 FA will be upgraded to Mk-1a standards except the earliest inductions which shouldn't be more than 5-6 nos.

They're not delivering Tejas Mk1As from next year- the article is clear on that.

16 Tejas Mk1A are to be delivered to the IAF to form the first squadron. They can't wait for 1 more year to get their hands on single seat Mk1A fighters.

It's not inter state fencing. It's just to indicate where the road edges are.
