I thought they have already delivered 3-4 by now. Guess they are flying/under testing by HAL. Hopefully they would deliver the rest 7 by March 2024.

Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari confirms that the IAF will be going ahead with a contract for 97 more Tejas Mk1As for a total of 220 Tejas Mk1/Mk1As.

And HAL CMD has stated that HAL is committed to deliver all 8 twin seater Tejas trainers to the IAF by March 2024. 4 from the first 20 IOC Tejas Mk1 contract and 4 from the second 20 FOC Tejas Mk1 contract.

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari said that IAF would be going forward to procure 97 more LCAs and with this it will have 220 LCAs in its inventory.

HAL CMD CB Ananthakrishnan said that the company was committed to deliver all the twin-seater aircraft pertaining to the initial operational clearance (IOC) and final operational clearance (FOC) contract to IAF in the current financial year.

Why do we not have a bubble canopy like the trainers for single seaters as well? Is there any limitations for that?
What on earth are you talking about?? The Tejas twin seaters have a bubble canopy! And the all-around view is excellent from the Tejas cockpit, with the pilot seated high in the cockpit.

Read again. I know twin seater has bubble canopy, thinking why not for single seater.

MK2 is all about the capability enhancement. With 1.5 m longer airframe and 10% more powerful engine, range, payload and other capabilities enhanced significantly over 50%. This is called engineering. It will be a much improved Mirage better in all aspects. Mirage 2000 is even today the most loved and favorite plane of IAF. Mk2 is going to be the mainstay of IAF for a longer time to come even after the arrival of AMCA. It will be a workhorse for IAF.
